Dont make same mistake as me

Make sure you read all the reviews before purchasing. Not sure how they are sorted but truest reviews are at the end of the list. Don’t make my mistake of reading only first or second page of reviews. This had to be the worst 12 hours of Pollyanna Pablum I have ever had to sit through. In the Prologue the author said he thought this was his best book in the series. That’s enough to ensure that this is the last book of Robert J. Sawyer I ever listen to.

Fluffy

Great idea and thought provoking. A bit utopian and overly simplistic in its implications.

It Grows on You - in a good way

I began thinking part 2 was pitched at young adolescents, but was gradually disabused of the idea. The concept, begun so well in WWW.Wake, took a while to reach the forefront in this instalment. Overall, the wait was worth the patience. In any event, the narrators are very good, particularly the Caitlin Dexter voice. It makes you want to have more elaborate credits so you can tell which voice is which narrator. Webmind is well done, too. Just enough of the juvenile to be believable, I thought. All up, I thought it a creditable Book 2, but Book 1 is still out front for me. I'm keenly looking forward to the concluding installment.

WOW

Science fiction at it's absolute best. Perhaps even better that the first of the series. I haven't gone through a novel so quickly in a long time.

Better than the first!

Usually books hit a sophomore slump in a three part trilogy, but book number 2 just may be better than book 1. Worth a credit if you enjoyed the first!

Would you listen to WWW: Watch again? Why?

Yes I believe I would after some time. Often I get new messages from a book the second time I read it. I usually give it several months before I read a good book again.

What did you like best about this story?

Good character development, WWhen explenations are given, they sound plausible. The author knows his subject, his suroundings - location, doesn't talk down to the reader.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Of course I like the harilon but, the whole family seem real. The Japanese scientist also has an interesting is interesting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many moments, it's hard to find just one.

Ok, I have read many books by Robert J. Sawyer, some on the CNIB Library and some others on Audible. I knew that he was a great author. I had been putting off the WWW series because I thought it was likely just a blind story book. I have no problem reading books about people that are blind but, I sometimes find myself rejecting books that others think "would be good for me". I finally decided to give the first book a try, I'm glad I did.
My only question is, after the ending in the second book "Watch", how can "Wonder" top that?

Sawyer is fanfreekintastic!

Loved this follow up to Wake! Just as good if not better than the first one. Definitely worth the credit.

This is what science fiction is meant to be.

This book was chock full of references to interesting and real math phenomena, game theories, speculative essays, institutes and historical trivia. And that's all just icing on the cake! The story was compelling and kept my interest all the way through. Characters behaved like real people, too, without the contrived idiocy that many novels employ to drive the plot forward.
