I liked it but...

What did you like best about Vegas Knights? What did you like least?

I picked this one up because I liked the narrator sample. It was easy getting into the story. Vegas is usually fun. The gambling part was interesting but there was not much of it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

You could see it coming for at least the last third of the book.

Have you listened to any of Peter Brooke’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I was not a previously familiar with the narrators work

Was Vegas Knights worth the listening time?

In my scale any book over two stars is worth the time and this one was okay

Any additional comments?

Authors sometimes take too long to get to the point and that is how I felt about this book. The narrator kept me interested and since the title was Vegas Knights it would have been better with more Vegas and less about trying to escape from the bad guy.

JUST UM...OK?

I listened to this one so I would be able to write my own review of the book where others seemed to dislike it. This had me in the "what?" catagory. I understood the zombies, but I didn't understand the reason for the extended explaination of the magic poker game. We would NEVER play that...so to go over an hour (+or-) to explain how it worked for muggles was just a tad bit much. It was alot of holes in it as well that just not enough detail explained what was going on like Buggsy Segal...and the reason for them not being able to float through the floor...no details on the human enzyme. It was just an OK listen. Would I refer this? Probably never. The narrator was awesome though.

Awful

This is a terrible book. I went in with an open mind and really tried to like it, but the story was so boring and random at times. 3/4 of the way through the book unmentioned zombies appear (?). Why? The characters flip flop their motives and intentions. Needless to say, save your money and just punch yourself in the face instead. You’ll get more out of it and save yourself a lot of time.
