Publisher's summary

Jace's return to Kansas is an instant reminder that there really is no place like home. The tavern is still brimming with losers, practical jokers, and motorcycle chicks. Even the town's only Goth is still wearing eyeliner. But just as Jace is about to click her heels and hightail out of there, she's roped into a brand-new case. Somebody is possessed. And the bodies are piling up....

They call him the Gallowsman. According to legend, he was sentenced to hang-though his crimes still have not been specified. When he was strung up to die, his spirit stuck around waiting for people to hang themselves... so he could steal their bodies. Now, with the undead rising up and going on a rampage, Jace must put her own neck on the line. Can she get the Gallowsman to give up the ghost?

WORST WRAP UP EVER!

After 5 solid books, THIS is the conclusion? Jace might as well have woken in her own bed to realize it was all just a dream. save your time and money!!!

Super irritated!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yeah, I'd make it a real Bloodhound files book that starts off with the cliff hanger from the last book. WTH?

Performance is great but...

Let me preference this by saying I loved the previous books in the series and the performance by Johanna Parker was excellent for all the various people but
***SPOILER ALERT**
I hated how the book ended. This is the final book of the series and you never actual hear that Jace chooses to stay with Cassius or that even if she choses to stay with Cassius that she actually gets back to the land with Vampires and Golems that she is used to by now with hopefully a live Galahad. This whole series was built on her desire to go back to where she came from and after taking us on the psychedelic trip of trying to figure out was the whole previous books in the series part of her delusion or not and trying to figure out what is actually real or not you never concretely find out where she ends up residing. The author ends the book with Jace starting to tell her answer but never actually verbalizing it. So frustrating.

ended on a cliffhanger

I hate when I spend the time and money on a series and it ends in a cliffhanger. It was a good series up until that point however I will not be suggesting this series to any other readers as it is disrespectful to the readers to end such. I have no problem with artistic licence however when we as readers care about the characters you as an author have created to end such is a slap in our collective faces. I will not be reading anything you write ever again as you have lost my trust!!

Creative ending to a fun series

This was a great and fun way to revisit the whole series before saying goodbye. As for the reviewers who are mad about the ending... That's silly, theres no mystery, its plain. Were you paying attention at all throughout the books?

Perfectly suited :)

I was a little wary of what this last book may be in the end due to many of the reviews I read prior to listening to this one. Upon listening to the last sentence of this story, I couldn't help but smile. The ending was perfectly suited to this series :) I couldn't have imagined a better way for this to go. No spoiler here. You'll just have to see what you think for yourself. I say worth the price or credit. Narration was perfect all the way through. I listened to all 6 books over a 4 day period and found them thoroughly entertaining. Very pleased.

whst the hell

it was a good book all the way until the cliffhanger ending... I'm super upset about how it just cut off with no real conclusion. i have to ask are we missing a chapter because if not then that sucks!

You got "Seinfeld" and the "Sopranoed"

Any additional comments?

I read the reviews, so I was prepared. How could I pass up the last book whose dialogue/banter/cadence reminded me of The Thin Man and His Girl Friday movies. He brings back almost all the previous characters and then fades to black. How can you not love the way it ended? Outstanding narrator, gonna miss the series, but what a way to go! Well Done!

I Really Hope this is not the Last Book

Where does Undead to the World rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks among the the most entertaining. It is fast moving and fun to read/listen to.

What did you like best about this story?

Love the back and forth between Jace and Charlie.

What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is great. She sounds natural, like she's not just reading a book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

If this is the last book, I am very upset at the ending. A last book should have wrapped up all the strings not leave a cliffhanger. Most of the time it kept me interested and laughing.

Any additional comments?

If this is the last book.... I'm pulling for Charlie.

Ok, but not my favorite.

The story was extremely confusing. I wasn't sure what the heck was going on in the beginning. Then it made a little more sense. I heard it's the last book in the series and I feel it leaves you hanging. Johanna Parker was awesome as usual.
