Submission finds the Torchwood team heading for the bottom of the sea – the Mariana Trench – after they intercept a distress call. But when the submarine they are on crashes, they find themselves at the mercy of a hungry alien.... Written by Ryan Scott.

The House of the Dead sees a special séance being held at the most haunted pub in Wales. The House of the Dead is about to close, and many regulars have turned up on the last night in the hope of seeing their deceased loved ones. An uneven collection with one shining entry

Three short entries that detail lost files from the Torchwood archive. The Devil and Mrs. Carew is pretty standard for Torchwood and entertaining, Submission is forgettable, but the real star is The House of the Dead.

The House of the Dead is the last entry in the trio - and this is important the timing of the story is cleverly done and works nicely - it details Gwen, Ianto and Jack's attempts to stop a seance at the oldest pub in Wales and prevent the ascension of a terrible ancient force.

Fans of Jack and Ianto will NOT want to miss this entry.

House of the Dead alone worth the purchase price!

If you could sum up Torchwood: The Lost Files, Complete Series in three words, what would they be?

Jack And Ianto

What did you like best about this story?

From the Jack loves Ianto audiobook review corner:<br/> I just finished listening to The House of the Dead, the last story in an audiobook called Torchwood: the Lost Files. Of the 3 stories, this one was perfection! All the characters scripted without flaw and the twist at the end that I didn't see coming. If you can, listen to this story, and have tissues nearby for the ending.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Their own voices. The narrators are the folks who portray the characters on TV. Although I'd hear their voices in my head were I to read these stories, I wouldn't hear all the delightful nuances that the actors themselves bring to the production.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Ianto being angry at Jack's selfishness. Sounded real, felt real.

You Got Your Hub In My iPod!

What I loved about Torchwood: The Lost Files was having the old cast doing the show, it brings back memories of me in middle school watching season 1 and 2 of Torchwood

It was nice to hear Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd) come backs

Great short stories.

Loved these short stories compiled together. Reminds me of Torchwood before american channel STARS tried a bad continuation of the series.

OH.MY.GAWDS.

I am just going to comment on the final chapter, "The House of the Dead", because while the other stories were very good, THIS ONE BLEW ME AWAY. I was not expecting the twist it took and I am still REELING from it. BRILLIANT, bloody brilliant.

Famtastic stories

I've always loved and missed the show so much, but these stories make up for it. All three main cahracters, Jack, Gwen, and Ianto, rejoin to give us a little taste of the adventures they encountered outside ot the televised series. While the voice casting of the woman from Torchwood 1 was very mediocre, the third story had me in tears. you definately don't wanna miss this volume. definately worth it!

Such a nice surprise

Would you consider the audio edition of Torchwood: The Lost Files, Complete Series to be better than the print version?

yes, the performances are all great. the chemistry between actors is what makes it work so well!

Any additional comments?

the series is just so well done, and with a really heart-breaking twist at the end. Spoilers! Just wanna add that it's still a very welcomed surprise. A great addition to the arc of the Jack/Ianto story.

So very well done

This one made me weep (which the show has done a couple times, but the books never have before). Absolutely lovely job of it.

Brilliant Introduction to Torchwood for me

I listened to the Torchwood Radio dramatisations and was hooked straightaway . The characters were well played and the story lines were well written . The radio dramatisations were exciting to listen to . In fact I was so impressed with these radio dramatisations that I actually bought the Torchwood TV series off amazon to watch .

Best of all

This audio book is recorded like an actual serie by the original crew members in the "torchwood" tv drama. It has all those sound effects and background music, and so~gets me into it. Tne stories are as good as usual.👍 Highly recommended if you are concerning purchasing this. And John barrowman, his voice is as seaxy as he is. Love you, john.💓
