Publisher's summary

At the end of Worldbinder, Fallion Orden, son of Gaborn, was imprisoned on a strange and fantastic world that he created by combining two alternate realities. It’s a world brimming with dark magic and ruled by a creature of unrelenting evil, one who is gathering monstrous armies from a dozen planets in a bid to conquer the universe.

Only Fallion has the power to mend the worlds, but at the heart of a city that is a vast prison, he lies in shackles. The forces of evil are growing and will soon rage across the heavens. Now, Fallion’s allies must risk everything in an attempt to free him from the wyrmling horde.

David Farland is an American author of fantasy fiction. He came to prominence when he won the L. Ron Hubbard Gold Award for On My Way to Paradise. He is also the author of Star Wars novels, of which The Courtship of Princess Leia became a New York Times best seller.

a good story line continues

I enjoyed this book because of its storyline. it just seems the author could have finished the series without going into another book.It feels drawn out at this point and that wasn't necessary.

Gruesome and fantastical

(This book is not for the light of heart, torture is PREVALENT.) The narrator is great at giving each character his/her own voice. The concepts and surprises were quite good! Looking forward to the next book.

Now it's getting interesting

Would you consider the audio edition of The Wyrmling Horde to be better than the print version?

Never read the print edition. I only listen to audiobooks.

What did you like best about this story?

The author seemed to get his groove back.

Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?

Daylin Hammer (sp?), but all the characters are necessary. Also Carissa (sp?) the wormling girl as she was very brave.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the big wormling who rescued Carissa was killed. And when the Netherworld accepted the humans for a few days.

Great series. I highly recommend it. Narration brings the characters to life. Hope there is more to come.

Well read and well written.

The narrator does an excellent job of reading this novel. The book itself ends on a pseudo cliffhanger but that is normal for this series. Well written novel as always.

David Farland is a worthy author.

This was a good continuance of the Rune Lords story. The emotions brought forth by the telling are testimony enough of that.

Half a book

This series is one of my all time favorites, but this book and the previous one in the series, "Worldbinder" each felt more like half a book. The story seemed interrupted by the transition between the two when it should have been one single book.

Wonderful read!

I love this entire series and can't wait to get to the next book! They are long reads but they are far from boring. I thought I would get to meet a special someone in this book but alas I hope they make their return in the next book.

Very dark.

Left me depressed. Not as good as the other books. Makes me wonder why so much misery. The heroes needed a bit more lightness and hope.

Great series

There is a lot going on this book which is a little disjointed and hard to follow. Our previous main protagonist is relegated to the sidelines and we follow other characters in this book. The progress of the book isn’t fully satisfying but it is compelling and I want to know what happens next. Great narrator!
