What made the experience of listening to The Shadows the most enjoyable?

Keeps you hooked
W. J. Lundy has done a great job hooking us into the second book of The Invasion Trilogy. It feels like the whole story is one big, crazy adventure. Our main character, Jacob, has to step up and fight the Darkness in order to keep his family safe. While he’s learning how to be a soldier in real time, his unit is deployed on a seemingly impossible mission. The suspense, action and mystery surrounding the Darkness combine in this post-Apocalyptic series where the characters’ fight is strong, but not even strength can keep them all alive.
Kevin T. Collins does a great job narrating this book. I don’t know why some people criticized his performance of the last book, because to me, he doesn’t over enunciate nor is he overly dramatic. I feel his pacing is good, the emotions behind the dialogue is realistic and the switching between dialogue and narration is seamless. Give this series a chance, because it will suck you right in!

Alien mastery
I loved all the action, as well as alien soldiers that were made up out of our own dead. Liked the characters and especially the dog. See after the next book

Whopping great story
This is one of this books that really gets my blood pumping. Very well done apocalypse plot line. Narrator is perfect for these characters
