The Shadow Order - Book one of the Shadow Order series

In a fight, Seb is unbeatable. But in this galaxy, there are a million ways to lose… Seb Zodo has never backed down from a fist fight. After all, he's been gifted with powers that make losing impossible. But lately, Seb's gift seems more like a curse… Seb's fearlessness leads to stupid decisions, short-lived jobs, and unwanted attention in dangerous places. In a desperate bid at a fresh start, Seb swears off fighting. But it may be too late… When a run-in with an electrifying thief and the head of a shadowy organization sends his life spiraling out of control, Seb has no choice left but to go down swinging…

one of the better space operas I've listened to in awhile. I really liked Sparks. A series I look forward to reading and/or listening more of.

Mission Impossible meets the The Skulls

What a great listen. The voice characterization and story plot keep me wanting more. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Seb Zodo has become one of my favorite characters in sci-fi. This series will one to enjoy again and again.

DON'T READ THIS!

I listened to all 3 and I'm an idiot for doing so. the absolute worst set I've purchased. character development is nil, the diologue is childlike at best and the story is at best generic! not sure if I'm more angry at the author or the publisher!

Continuous graphic depictions of actual feces eating.

The book reads like it was written by an eleven year old, who is obsessed with living in the sewer, and eating from the "flowing brown river of shit”.

Seb is a one trick pony.

Over and over again with the 'his vision turned to slow motion as he punches the enemy with one blow to knock him out...' *yawn*. And the sidekick's voice was horrible.

Poorly Written

Had it not been for the narrator, I would never have finished this. The author couldn't seem to describe anything without mentioning "shit'. Robertson employed remarkably lazy world building and really didn't seem to finally figure out what he was doing until almost the end of the third book. Don't waste your credits or money on this one.
