When work-a-day corporate stiff John Cade makes a delivery to a prodigiously eccentric client, his world spins out of control. Hunted by otherworldly creatures in a wild chase, he hurtles through an abruptly unfamiliar Los Angeles as the boundaries of reality bend and blur. Will Cade hold on to his sanity or be driven off the edge by forces beyond his comprehension? The answer can only be found in the Seventh Lane.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
With the bite of a Chianti Classico, The Seventh Lane is as smooth as a cabernet, as spicy as a Malbec and as sexy as a Pinot Noir. Camilla Ochlan has crafted a supernatural mystery-thriller that will titillate the palate of even the most discriminating Sci-Fi Fantasy reader.I highly recommend this short story!
Who was your favorite character and why?
All the characters are vastly unique. But my favorite is Martin - loyal friend who tells it like it is....in his own special Germanglish way.
What does P. J. Ochlan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
PJ Ochlan can sure read the heck out of a book! His retro, Mickey Spillane-like narration lends a cool pulpy vibe to this suspenseful urban fantasy noir. Ochlan masterfully breathes distinctive life into each unique character. And if Rick Blaine and Harrison Ford ever had a love child, he would be protagonist John Cade! So, if you run across audiobooks narrated by PJ Ochlan, buy them and let him take you on a marvelous journey. I promise you'll enjoy the ride.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Cade's description of the mysterious wine.
Any additional comments?
The Seventh Lane is unlike any urban fantasy I've read. It's a true treasure. I can't wait for the next installment!
