Publisher's summary

It finally happened. Commander Thrax Ti Ix created a hyper-spatial tube for the Swarm Imperium. Across thousands of light-years, a vast armada of warships is heading for Earth to burn the homeworld down to its bedrock as the Swarm begins its genocidal campaign against the human race.

No one - not the New Men, the Spacers, the Wahhabi Caliphate, or Star Watch - has faced such staggering odds. Alone or united, it makes no difference.

Captain Maddox has a last-ditch plan. He's returning to the null region of last voyage to grab the ancient Destroyers hidden there. But an immortal entity of evil cunning haunts the vessels. If it escapes its prison...Maddox will have made things infinitely worse.

This time, mankind needs a miracle.

The Lost Earth is the seventh book in the Lost Starship series.

An entertaining listen

Mark Boyett didn't excellent job as always. The storyline was engaging though at times the plot seemed to trudge along. The author seemed to spend more than adequate time working through the thoughts of the characters, even when the thoughts seemed obvious to the listener. Also at times not crediting enough intelligence to the characters that the author created. Overall still an enjoyable listen. Will likely continue on with the series.

Not as good as the previos books

What did you love best about The Lost Earth?

Same great characters, great voice acting, and good length for the money.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lost Earth?

Richer and Ludendorf in the hallway...not leaving any spoilers.

What about Mark Boyett’s performance did you like?

Range of voice for different characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When you thought it couldn't get any worse for humanity...

Any additional comments?

Ending of the book felt rushed and lacking. Almost like there was suppose to be longer and more thorough but was condensed due to editors, publishers, or time constraints.

Hooked on this series

Captain Maddox and the Victory crew face two enemies; one of overwhelming numbers and the other of unimaginable evil. This was a nail biter with little downtime for the crew or humanity.

As usual the narrator was excellent. Switching voices/characters with ease.

Can't wait to read the next installment.

Great story talented narrator

I have been listening to these books for some time and I have to say the storyline is becoming better and better with twists and turns an connections made and unmade. I also have to give great credit to the narrator for his masterful and consistent performance!
