Publisher's summary

This attractive new rerelease of The Legend of Huma debuts a new look for the Heroes series. Each title in the series will reflect the new series design. This title is the only Dragonlance novel not written by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman to hit the New York Times best-seller list.

Only fragments of the account of Huma survived the Cataclysm that broke the world of Krynn. The fullness of his tale has never been told – until now. One man took up the call to defend the world against the Queen of Darkness. He was the first Hero of the Lance, driven by his devotion to the Oath and the Measure and his love for a silver dragon. His life made him a hero. Here is the tale that made him a legend….

I have always loved this book.

The performance is very good and matches the tone of the story. A must listen.

Entertained and well paced

I found the story to have kept a pace that would mirror a good action movie. The narrators voice changes for different characters was annoying with female characters and some adversaries, too old lady and not brooding enough. Some parts were predictable but still maintained substance.

A cherished epic

I have listened to this story so many times. It is my favorite Dragonlance book, and now feels like a warm hug every time I hear it.

poor performance, good story

I can't stand someone who describes a laugh and then makes a pathetic attempt to perform it...guess I should just be thankful there was no singing.

So sub-par reader for a fantastic story.

Excellent

The Legend of Huma held up to my expectations in comparison to other reads from this book series. The story is excellent as well as the voice actor presenting it.

Creative past prologue for futuristic Krynn

Conveys how honor, duty, courage during insurmountable obstacles can lead to heroic deeds that live in perpetuation. I don't think the author quite exhibited the internal struggles of his characters the way Hickman and Weis inscribed. I did not read this, but used Audible. I might try reading it for a different experience.

Glad I waited

For some reason I skipped this one up my first time reading these in the eights and nineties. This story is wonderful. Huma, like Sturm, is deeply committed to a failing knighthood. It’s moral tale at its core. It’s also a tale. of war, joy love, sorrow, sadness, and redemption. Beautifully crafted the story of Huma and Kaz is not too be missed. 10/10
