Cliffhangers are poor writing technique.

It is a super weak way to get people to buy the next book by dropping off in the middle of the climax. This book was barely a full act in a story and then the author drops it mid action? You got five books worth of credits out of me when I maybe should have spent three. I won’t be spending any more. I’ll read the synopsis somewhere. To find out what happens. I’m done with this series.

REPEAT !

I like the story but the author is repeating herself a lot.
Liana says a lot of words but nothing new, the story is getting a smidge redundant, because it is starting to repeat itself too much and she is getting a little too wordy. I don't know if I can make it through the next book if it's anything like this one. Did I say she repeats herself? Exactly!

Left me on the edge of my seat.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, but they should start at the beginning of this series would be helpful. It would introduce Liana and who she is to the reader.

What did you like best about this story?

It finally brings everything together, the characters, the problem and a solution, however don’t expect to find out what happens. That should be found out in the next book or maybe two.

What about Kirsten Leigh’s performance did you like?

Her ability to make ALL the characters come to life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Bree’s brother leaving after he drops to a one and his anguish over losing his ranking.

Any additional comments?

I hope the next book will end this problem with the tower and lead to a book with all the characters from the Forrest and Tower coming together.

Ending is completely disrespectful to readers.

I understand a few loose ends, and they are a part of really good writing. But... To avoid spoilers with any content.... To end a book dead smack in the MIDDLE of a scene is unconscionable. Movies get away with it, books do NOT. The series is very good. I am enjoying it, but this honestly just makes me angry. It is just plain poor storytelling to end at a climax without finishing the storyline.

Familiar....

That word defines this book to a "T". The story is written and flows just like the others. I'm enjoying the story....

However...someone really needs to teach Kristen Leigh how words are pronounced. there are so many common everyday words that it's starting to drive me nuts. I get everyone has a differnt dialect but, I feel a higher standard should be met in this industry. The word familiar is mispronounced so many times as firmilar that you can actually make a drinking game off that word alone, per book. She gets 2 stars as a result of that but does do an ok job with voicing certain characters.

The girl who dared to think series -book 5

A page turner! Have to get the next one. This last, number 5 had less action and more analysis of what was going on. Bella Forest has an amazing insight about people and what make them tic!
Thank you for great edutainment:-)

Another amazing book. I can't wait to listen to the next book! Just simply amazing.

Very readable

Great story, exciting and twisting. A little too much time dedicated to recapping though and some words pronounced oddly. By the time you get to book 5 of a series you don’t really need to hear an explanation about everything that happened previously. Particularly if you binge listen like I do! Otherwise very good.

Starts out slow and depressing...

Starts out slow and depressing and at times I did question whether I wanted to continue But once you get past this aspect it gets back into a great story once again. I do however agree with other reviews in suggesting the author repeats the same content a fair bit which is a bit annoying especially if like myself you are not suffering amnesia. If you are also listening to the audiobook version the repetition unnecessarily adds to the expense of this book series and I might add a further 2 more books are remaining making it rather expensive, 7 * $15 AUD = $105 for the book series and it feels like it should be one large book as the individual books are segments of the same core story like chapters. Otherwise I do enjoy this series but it does make me question whether to read any other book series from this author given I realise it would be an expensive exercise.
