Another thrilling segment of the story!

This series is amazing! Similar to her other series, The Gender Game, it is action packed and thoughtful. My only complaint would be the cliffhangers and having to wait for the next book!!

give the characters a chance to grow

I've read both series now and I'm getting a little frustrated with the author. the depth of characters is very shallow as she rinses and renews characters over and over. there is little too no growth nor depth to any of the characters. there are complete chapters on neurotic uncertainties of the characters and AIs.

the world can be falling apart, action can be everywhere around the heroes, and everyone is one step away from their demise... Let's talk about feelings and uncertainties, instead of focusing on the scene and letting it play out. <sigh>

I guess I'm just not connecting with the author.

Good story but overwritten

The storyline was enjoyable, but way too much inner monologue focus overdone descriptions of Liana’s feelings.

Good story

Good story. Aimed toward a younger audience, or at least very youth friendly. Writing was a bit redundant and there were several holes, but I found the first 2 volumes very enjoyable. I will be continuing on to the next volume.

ups and downs

towards the end I started to struggle to follow the story as a dyslexic. Apart from that I found it really engaging and couldn't stop listening staying up later each night to hear a bit more.

Enjoyed book 1 much more than this one

Found this book long and the story lines drawn out. I was glad to get to the end just to finish it and may not bother with book 3 when it comes out. Overall disappointed.

Great book, easy listen.

This series is great, easy to listen to and with some great allegories for modern day life. The narrator does a great job with a variety of voices.
