Publisher's summary

The quadrant is burning. Violent, deadly uprisings are breaking out, seemingly at random, all across the Confederation's sphere of influence. The response by the powerful Confederation Fleet has been swift and decisive, but for every planet they restore order to, another erupts into chaos. Omega Force is working along the frontier worlds when they're forced to come to the aid of a longtime ally and soon realize that the two events are not unrelated. The deeper they dig into the occurrences, the more Captain Burke finds he doesn't know who he can trust as he tries to unravel the mystery and not only exonerate his friend but keep himself, and his crew, alive.

Top Notch

What do you do when you're accidentally kidnapped from planet earth in a spaceship? Escape your captor, rescue people in trouble, and kick some ass along the way?

Yes, please!

This is one of my favorite science fiction series of all time. It's fun, witty, ridiculous, and the characters are absolutely fantastic.
Paul Heitsch delivers time and again in each book of this series. He is able to impart a distinct characteristic and tone of voice for each of the many different types of characters and peoples.
I sincerely hope to see many more books in this series for years to come.

this was an alright book but it ends with a hook that I do not think will get explained for some time.

I love OF, I really do, but Dalzelle needs a plan.

It's fairly apparent that, while he is a good story writer, Dalzelle has very little in the way of skill when it comes to planning a series. Frequent recycling of plot elements and devices really breaks up the feeling of an advancing storyline.

The Enemy Within

This book and the whole series is some of the best military science fiction I've listened to in quite a while

I plan on getting the rest of the series right away.

Love Every One

I enjoyed this story, although a lot slower with the action than the previous books. This one had plenty of that Star Trek/Wars humorous banter which I throughly enjoyed. I found myself laughing out loud a lot.

Another good addition to this series..

Between trying to stop the riots of several planets and helping Kellea and Crisstof Dalton, Jason and his crew are going from one end of the galaxy to the other, not knowing who he can trust anymore.
This story was pretty exciting and, as always, had some crazy snarky lines throughout the book.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 5 times.

As for the narration: Paul Heitsch continues to do a fantastic job with all the male characters BUT he could do a little better with the females. Just sayin'

Great book-great series.

Love this series. Nice character development after book 1. Main characters are a lot of fun to listen to. I look forward to the next book and I’m glad there are quite a few still to come.

Series continues to delight....very intertaining

Any additional comments?

In my review of the first book of the series, I alluded to being reminded of the TV series "Firefly" and the zesty adventures that they would have. In addition, for folks who been around awhile, the TV series "Have Gun Will Travel" is also in the back of my mind. Again..I hope the Author doesn't disparage these comparisons as I only wish to illustrate my love for the Lighthearted adventures and camaraderie that these stories evoke. Put simply the "Good Guys win and the Bad Guys lose heavily". All-in-all good adventures and a great page turner..
