Publisher's summary

The deadly hunt ends in the thrilling final book of the Trackers saga....

The mountain town of Estes Park, Colorado, is scrambling to recover from the betrayal of two of their police officers, and prepare for threats outside their borders. But with Chief of Police Marcus Colton imprisoned by rival Sheriff Mike Thompson, the job to protect the isolated town is left to Sam "Raven" Spears and newly promoted Captain Lindsey Plymouth. They will do everything they can to bring Colton home and save their citizens, but one thing is certain: a war is coming to Estes Park, and no one will be spared from the horrors.

Across the country, Secretary of Defense Charlize Montgomery continues to lead recovery efforts in the wake of the arriving Chinese workers and soldiers. But the threat of foreign soldiers on American soil isn't the only problem - the Sons of Liberty and other domestic terrorist groups continue to rise to power, enacting a wave of violence and chaos that threatens to derail the recovery efforts.

Will Raven, Colton, and Charlize save the United States from collapse? One thing is certain - they won't be able to save everyone. Not with their humanity still intact.

Best book yet!

I loved the first book in the Trackers series, and although I didn't think it was possible, each book gets even better! I went through such a roller coaster of emotions throughout Trackers: The Damned. Events with the Sons of Liberty and Sheriff Thompson's crew are coming to a head. Estes Park has to unite and fight for their survival, while they face the reality that not all of them will make it through alive.

Meanwhile, Secretary Montgomery and Albert are dealing with other challenges, so her plans to slaughter Fenix are somewhat on hold. The Chinese have come to aid in the recovery efforts, citizens are attacking Chinese and US Soldiers, and Charlize is tasked with finding a new location for the government. When she finds out the Sons of Liberty's whereabouts, Estes Park is already in trouble. Although she's willing to help them, she may be too late.

If you like post-apocalyptic fiction, you need to check out this series! The Audible version is fantastic. Bronson Pichot brings the story to life, making you feel you are right there in the middle of the action. Excellent narrator!

Great Series!

Excellent post-apocalyptic series! I hate to see it all end and definitely hoping for a spin-off series with Raven and Creek. They have plenty of other hate groups and gangs to deal with as the United States gets back on it's feet with the assistance of China.

If you haven't read the rest of this series, I recommend not starting with this book. These should definitely be read in order. Spoilers ahead if you haven't read books 1-3. North Korea attacks the US with multiple EMP strikes taking out our electrical grids. The country is in chaos. Gangs and other hate groups take what they want without any worry of consequences. The US gets an offer of help from a very unlikely ally, China.

This series has something I think is very important in any post-apocalyptic type of story, a dog! Creek is Raven's dog and probably the biggest hero of the series! I also loved all of the Native American lore the author included in this story!

Another great series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith and a great narration by Bronson Pinchot! I'm looking forward to enjoying more of their work!

The Damned

This has been my favorite series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith and I suppose that makes this one of the harder reviews to write, for I will miss Creek, Raven and the rest of the gang, some more than others. It is a better sweet end to a tough subject, a subject made tougher because at any point it could come true. This is just another awesome book by a wonderful author that will have you on the edge of your seat and staying up way past your bedtime or in my case taking the long way home from work to listen a little bit longer as audio narrator Bronson Pinchot is great with all the voices for the characters.

Fantastic conclusion to the Trackers series!

Trackers 4 wrapped up this post apocalyptic story about North Korea destroying the infrastructure of the Unites States by setting off nuclear EMP blasts over key cities. The end was very satisfying although with somewhat unusual circumstances. Definitely an excellent, too near to real life fiction that really hits home in a big way!

Makes one think.

If you think the modern world can never be taken away, think again! What is eye opening about this series is that this "fictional story" can become true life so easily.
