Iraq, 2003. Army Sergeant John Armstrong leads his team into the middle of the desert in search of weapons of mass destruction. What they find is something far more terrifying, and alive.
The story started a little slower than I had hoped for. Sounded more like a war story which is not my cup of tea. I love Sci-Fi books more. But as the story went on it started to change and I got the sci-fi part that I had hoped for. Would love for this to be a longer book and to find out what happens further along in the story. But I loved the story and how it all came together and the ending was great. Letting you hang on to wanting more which I like in a good story. I loved the characters and the bits of back story to each of them. I think a longer book would have given us more back story to each of the main characters, but that is ok as it left me wanting more.
