Lacks so much...

Tarizon is a poorly constructed story. There are so many aspects of the story that I did not appreciate... character development, dialogue, sequence of events, transition between simultaneous scenes... none of it was done well at all.

great world but..

I have mixed feelings about this book. The characters seem to have come from 1950's era novel and not in a good way. The world and it's varied life forms are fantastic and well conceived, So the book is worth reading if you like a well thought out world. The potential for that world is terrific for future books, but if the main characters aren't improved there may not be another book.
This is a book one might listen to while waiting for something better to come along, and really that category makes up two thirds of the books i read.

Decent Plot Horrible Writting

The plot for this book grabbed me right away however once I starting listening the way it was written was horrible. Not recommended. If you are looking for a good sci-fi series try the Lost Fleet by Jack Campbell. Much better and saved me from this series.

Weak

Found the writing to be sophomoric and dull and the protagonist was very shallow and dim. It was very painful getting through this book and I was relieved when it was over. I will certainly not be listening to anymore of this series. May be entertaining for young adults but not for serious sic-fi buffs.
