Publisher's Summary

Control dinosaurs.

Tame women.

Rule the world.

Victor Shelby ends each day wondering when his life is going to get better. His parents are dead, he struggles to pay rent, and his boss at the animal control shelter has him cleaning cages instead of working in the field. His dream of helping animals seems destined to end in a mop bucket.

Then, Victor is abducted by aliens and deposited on a prehistoric world filled with hungry dinosaurs and beautiful alien women.

He doesn’t know why he is here or what his purpose is, but he finds himself fighting for survival. Most men would have been lizard kibble in a few moments, but Victor’s natural ability to empathize with animals has grown stronger, and he finds himself able to control the most docile of the terrible lizards.

Victor will have to use his taming powers to provide food, water, and shelter for the three women that he has sworn to protect. Success means they get to live another day; failure means a horrible death in the jaws of Earth’s most deadly predators.

Disclaimer: This audiobook has ravaging dinosaurs, a lot of cursing, extreme violence, and a harem of exotic alien women. The novel is not meant for people under the age of 18.

If Destiny's Crucible and Jurassic park had a kid

I will tell you right off the bat this book is worth your credit.

Now with that being said this book is not for everyone, for the first half of this book it is really hard to listen to because the MC will not shut up about how pretty the girls he is with are. This nonstop talk about how pretty alien girls are, it's just face palm embarrassing to hear. it is not sexy which is sad because if the story would have just given less detail about how the alien girls looked. Are imagination would do a far better job then what the book tells us.

I tell you this flaw in the book because, this is by far the biggest problem, any listener with have to over come to enjoy the story.Good news is the writing is good and when it starts going it really starts going. There is a flow to the story that makes it really hard to put it down.
Not going to lie it is really cool to hear how people with not metal! have to build weapons and fortifications with just there wits. All in all a really good story about a man who starts as a dog catcher and slowly becomes Turok.

P.S don't forget to hit the helpful

Book is mostly nipples and rope.

And not in a, it has fun bondage scenes way. No, the main character gets constantly side tracked staring at the women so that 30% of the book is just describing what he is gawking at. It's insufferable. Then he gets praised for being noble and kind because he hadn't raped anyone yet. 40% of the book is excessive description of rope making or axe making or useless hut making. The story, the dinosaurs, the mysteries of how and why they are on this planet and everything else has to fight for that last 30%.

Most of the book is descriptions of women...

WAY too much time spent talking about the main characters sexual desires. The alien women are all very human-like and vapid. I like fantasy and I don't mind some harem elements in a book (I enjoyed the Iron druid chronicles, destiny's crucible, and even super sales on super hero's though it borders on too much as well) but this is just way too much of that and not enough plot. I didn't care about what was happening or the characters because none of it was developed. 90% of the time is just spent describing women and the main characters boners.

The only saving grace is Luke Daniels performance, which wasn't his best work but considering the content it's hard to judge.

uncomfortable

very sexist language, very focused on describing women to the point where it made me uncomfortable, im all for beauty but the character needed to stop thinking with his "man brain" and yes, that is an actual quote, it is hard to get through the 2nd chapter if you share the sentiments

Tamer: King of Dinosaurs (Spoilers)

ok.... let me just say first off that i have several works of Michael-Scott Earle in my wish list but this is the first I've purchased (I have a thing for dinosaurs and fantasy so sue me) and I can't bring myself to really review this book. half of me wants to love it just because of what it stands for, the other half of me is really starting to itch to fast forward. I'm all about character development, so it makes sense when a nerd guy who never talks to girls is all of the sudden thrown into a world with scantily clad big breasted alien women (stone, spider, lioness) all 3 of whom have a hard time not throwing this book into a giant orgy of 3 sentient alien women and one human man.... Bit of a horny teenager style of writing. That's just half of the book, the other half is well written, full of ideas and thoughts and character building for all 4 of the main characters.

Luke Daniels on the other hand...talk about a master of his craft, I always have one of his books loaded in my device if I ever get board of whatever I'm reading he is definitely one of my "go to" narrators. There is another book similar to this that is also read by Luke Daniels called "Dinosaur Four" this is .... better? Not by much though honestly. As usual Daniels brings his A game to this book, sticking to very well portrayed voices and a high range of effectiveness for both the male and female vocal spectrum. As far as top 10 for Daniels, without reading book 2 yet I just can't say positively of I like it or not.

I will say that this book seems to start off like many others in a series, this book IS NOT STAND ALONE, hardly anything happens in the first 7 hours or so, with the exception of Victor (the main character) stumbling upon his ability to tame the dinosaur population by befriending a small dino (on accident) who inevitably saves the day (on accident) causing our hero(ines) to have another day to fight for survival (on accident) so I am interested in at least reading book 2 before I give my full opinion. So far only buy it if you have a credit to spare, you want to laugh, and are feeling a little Randy in tthe panties. otherwise wait to get this book on a 2 for 1 sale and maybe get both for 1 credit. Thanks for reading. good luck, and please make sure to review your books!

edit: ok.... I haven't finished the first book but I love it. the dynamic between all three characters starts to come put further towards the end. Trelle(sp?) comes off harsh and obtuse but clearly she is acting as the only voice of stability towards Victor (The protagonist) at least until she subcomes to his awesomeness apparently and also wants to bed him. I think MSE is just having fun trying to play with 3 archetype female characters 1. subservient 2. solely dependant 3. completely open

The blending of these three character types with Victor comes out to be an interesting combination as MSE tries to uphold the respect Victor has for the females they all do their due diligence to push his ability to withstand pressure.

I like the idea behind the story (people transported to another planet by aliens) seems a little like the video game "The Ark" which has the same premise minus aliens and fornication, so one has to woknder exactly what the inspiration was for this story.

I can't wait to get to the second book now just to see how far Victor can push his tame ability

Nope I tried I really did

maybe if the guy wasnt such a worthless twit I'd think about finishing this book. Hes so cringe worthy spineless that it makes it hard to listen to any of this. He literally stumbles and falls over every girl he comes across and has the back bone of 20 something year old virgin living in his mothers basement. Sorry but no.

Not what I was expecting.

This is a great start to a new series. I thought the book was going to be at a typical LITRPG with main character gets all the boost. That's not be here, he is actually a character that is believable. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

It Could Be Great

This could be a really good book, it is narrated well and seems to be a great story idea, but is ruined by all the sexual content constantly.

To much with the T and A.

I thought dinosaurs would be kind of cool, this is not about dinosaurs. This is a dreadful story.

So glad i got this book and series

Love this series. It is funny and witty with adult humour but it the most perfect way. Not like others. This is done with fun, not vulgar. I had to get book 2 and 3 straight after and completed all 3 in just over 2 days. I couldn't stop listening. I was so disappointed when book 3 finished as i am craving for book 4 through too 999 😂 one can only hope. Hint, hint. Keep the adventures coming please.

Bearable... just

I like simple writing and simple characters but this takes simple a little to far. The main character could be summed up as a plank of wood with a cock attached to to bottom. And somehow every female character is copy paste big ass huge boobs, and always, aways needs saving (in cock planks opinion).

started to get a bit more bearable towards the end and the narration was good so 2 stars. If you like deep characters or have any opinion leaning towards females not being objectified then I would steer clear.

Incredibly stupid

I understand the appeal of being in a fantasy world surrounded by hot girls. This is not the feeling that this book gives you however. It's more like being in a horny teenagers head while he's daydreaming. The girls around him behave more like pre- programmed automatons than people, and the situations aren't event close to believeable.
If you want the sexual fantasy done right, go listen to "Super sales on super heroes". It's orders of magnitude better than this dog shit.

You want to know what I hate most about the book?

Nothing, this book is written very differently to other books ive read. It feels more natural to read... or listen to as it were. I couldn't put it down and eagerly await the next book. If only the books were longer. Do yourself a favor and LISTEN TO THIS BOOK ITS THE SHIT.
