Wow... A must hear

I remember hearing these stories years ago on tape. It was such a treat to find them at Audible. The story is awesome. This radio drama includes a talented cast with real star wars sounds and great music. It's a "must hear" for every Star Wars fan. The only bummer is the missing part three - Is there a SW:Dark Empire Part III anywhere?

expanded universe at its best

Overall the story was pretty good. The performance is a bit quiet at times however.

Interesting direction

It's an interesting direction the author attempts to take but the performance by the readers honestly takes away from this book. In to many instances it feels "forced". But I'm a Star Wars fan and ultimately I'll give it a passing grade based on that alone......

THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE

IT'S not a story by The Genius George Lucas. But anything from his Star Wars Galaxies is worth listening to. I will order the next book. May THE FORCE BE WITH YOU

excellent all around. I love full cast audiobooks

the voice actors who act out the story are great. thry sound so much like the real actors from the movies you can't tell the difference and if you could you'd be surprised. It's well worth the purchase I dont regreat it and you wont either. May the Force be with you!

Abriged

Like the story and the performance but hate the abridged version. I always try to buy the unabridged books like the fate of the Jedi books there’s to much story left out in abridged books.

Hard to Listen to

Would you try another book from Tom Veitch and/or the narrator?

Yes, but only because it is the Star Wars franchise

What was most disappointing about Tom Veitch’s story?

This was a very underwhelming story. More appropriate for the ages of 6 to 13 year olds.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrator’s performances?

Reluctantly yes. Some characters were flat in their performance and inconsistent with the movie personalities.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The redeeming quality is that it is an important part of the Luke Skywalker development from Jedi Master to Grand Master.

Any additional comments?

They should rewrite this story becasue it is too important of a development in the re-emergence of the Jedi.

You're better off buying the graphic novel

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More money spent on sound effect? Different cast?

What other book might you compare Star Wars to and why?

The abridged version of Marriage of Princess Leia. The source is great but the transition to audio just did not work with the the cast.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrator’s performances?

No
