The Devil's Heart is a legendary object of unsurpassed power and mystery. Worlds that believe in magic consider it Darkness's mightiest talisman; and worlds of science consider it a lost artifact of some ancient and forgotten race. Some say the Heart enables its possessor to control people's minds and to amass wealth enough for a dozen lifetimes, while others think it capable of raising the dead, perhaps even changing the flow of time itself. But to all, the location of this fabled object has remained a mystery, until now.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Video Game Dialog With Narration
So…yeah…this is the audio track of the CD-ROM video game - the dialog, music, and sound effects - repackaged with some ho-hum, sometimes clumsy narration added to it, changing YOU the player into the narrator’s character.
All the times Q allows the narrator to try again, are just times the player died and the game went back to the last save point. Really.
All that said, it’s not terrible. It’s entertaining, but it doesn’t quite work.
Also…NOT directed by Jonathan Frakes. At all.

Interesting Trek story.
First thing, Audible says it's a 2 hour story. It is NOT!
1 hour and 13 minutes long, but then looking at similar Star Trek audio books, they're less than an hour.
I did enjoy this short story. Cast, sound effects are all very good. John de Lancie is the only one who can truly be "Q" and the story keeps his character as Q in the Next Generation. Not bad!

Epic fun
The best Q book I’ve heard so far. Loads of fun. All the narration is top notch, and the story is clever and keeps you laughing. Will definitely listen to this one again.

Not 2 hrs 15 minutes long, try 75 minutes long
Review 101. Star Trek Borg by Hilary Bader, narrated by Howard McGillin featuring John deLancie and a Full Cast.
This is the audio book of one of my favourite old Star Trek games, Star Trek Borg which was released in 1996.
While maintaining a mostly similar story to the game, the main difference is that the main character (Cadet Qaylan Furlong) is actually narrating a log entry more than six months after the events of the game which the player has a hand in completing.
I found it very enjoyable to listen to this book as it was slightly different to the original story, and John De Lancie as Q was just as funny as I remembered from playing the game. I found myself laughing at several parts because of his dialogue.
I did enjoy listening to this book even though it is exceptionally short (75 minutes), but it isn't something that I will listen to again so have returned it to get a refund of the audible credit I used.
If you are a fan of the Star Trek Borg interactive adventure game, then you will enjoy this book.

yourself story
I Think it's a great story, but a little short. If you've played the game and you've always wanted to be a Starfleet officer this would be a good story for you. You can put yourself into the story.

BORG LITE
We got to taste the Borg life in this book but the Starfleet story is a bit weak. Q however is a scream as always and it is interesting to play with the space-time continuum. If u like close battle action then u will like this story.
