Publisher's Summary

Razer Station is one of the most notorious stations in the galaxy. Criminals, con artists, freaks, rebels, junkies, and smugglers inhabit the space station that floats at the outer edge of civilization.

It's Roak's kind of place.

But, Roak isn't on Razer for a little R&R; he's there on a job.

For Roak, it should be an easy job - track down an old tech that has been targeted by several corporations and deliver the tech to the corporations.

Except Razer Station is never that accommodating and Roak's easy job quickly turns into a nightmare battle for survival and a race across the station before it all goes up in flames.

The third chapter in the Roak saga continues with more grit, more grime, and more bodies than ever. Roak is pissed and gunning for anyone and everyone that dares get in his way!

Another great story from Jake Bible!

I throughly enjoy Roak's sense of humor and sarcastic wit. The banter he shares with his ship's AI. makes me smile. The story has some twists and turns, and left me wanting more. Andrew B. wehrlen's voice is a perfect complement to Roak, I can't imagine anyone else reading it. And now I have to find the next book to find out what happens.

who is Roak? "Not Mister Roak, just Roak." John Wayne is a futuristic setting.

Another fun ride!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was another fun, intergalactic adventure story with the infamous bounty hunter, Roak. I especially like how each of the Roak books I've listened to seem to be able to stand alone. The narration was great too. I enjoyed this one enough that I'll definitely look for more Roak books.

Another great book

Jake Bible does a great job with series and this book. My only complaint, not enough AI in it, and "8 Million God Damns" there was too much "8 Million God Damns". Other than that this book kicks butt and added a lot of new characters along with bringing some classics back.

Another action packed book in the Roak Series.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. Now this is the second book that I have listened to in the Roak Series with this narrator, and I have listened to several books by Jake Bible. I thoroughly enjoy Jake bibles books. They are action packed, the characters are vivid and brought to life by his storytelling. The Narrator does a great job by giving these characters a voice and personality. This book is action packed and moves at a nice pace. Not so fast as to where one would get lost, but not so slow that the listener gets bored. There were a few characters that were in this book that were also in the first book I listened to. These characters were familiar and I remembered them, but Jake also gives them a small introduction, so that a listener wouldn’t need to listen to all of the books in a series to get the story. What I am trying to say is this books stands on its own. If you enjoy a somewhat dystopian Sci-if, with Wild West undertones, you will like this book.

Action from start to finish.

Roak’s latest job is to capture a tech and return him to the contract originators. A simple enough job. The problem is that the tech currently resides on Razer Station, one of the most dangerous places in the galaxy. All sorts of misfits and ne’er-do-wells hang out here and guarantee that Roak will have his hands full. The story chronicles Roak’s efforts and is full of action and excitement from start to finish. Energetic scifi adventure.

This scifi adventure story was a lot of fun. Roak, our hard-to-kill galactic bounty hunter, has a bit of an attitude, and so does his ship's AI system. Plenty of snarky banter abounds between those two, whenever Roak isn't shocking every poor soul he meets with brutal honesty and a piece of his mind. Hoping to make fast work of a bounty job on Razer, Roak will uncover the truth about his client and fight his way off Razer to escape hit men coming for HIS head. He'll meet some interesting friends (and deadly enemies) along the way!

Narration by Andrew Wehrlen is enthusiastic and delivered with energy. Overall, job well done!

I was provided a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for my unbiased review. Many thanks for this opportunity.

Roak keeps getting better

Razer Edge reminded me a lot of Escape from New York, with more twists and action. This is a face paced listen.

Roak hunts a bounty to a space station full of cutthroats and criminals, out on the edge. Getting on the station is a hassle. Getting off the station proves to be nearly impossible, when the station is attacked.
Betrayed and cut off from his ship, Roak is forced to team up with prostitutes, space monkeys and his elderly bounty, and fight his way out.

Wehrlen is once again great as the voice of Roak and everyone else. Bible has created one of my favorite science fiction characters.

Don't hesitate to jump in here. You can go back and read the other Roak books, but it's not necessary. Nothing in this story spoils any of the others.

OK

I found it difficult to get into this book. I found it slow going at times and it did not really pull me in. I noticed others really liked it, so others might do too. It is just not really for me. It is full of action, so there is some violence and profanity.

The narrator is OK and I don't mind listening to him again.

Absolutely brilliant!!!!

This is my second venture into the Roak series and I love it. think of a bloodthirsty Star Wars without the force.

The story itself speeds along with frequent action but does not feel rushed in anyway.

The narrator does a great job bringing this book to life, managing to make each character distinctive and believable.

I was given this audio book to provide a non-biased review which this is and I am thoroughly looking forward to the next instalment.

You want chaos? I'll give you chaos.

The chits from his last job are gone, stolen, so Roak intends to relax and enjoy his time with Allie whilst his partners track them down. But a job offer comes up worth twenty-five million chits: Risk can't resist. But it's never easy and his last best hope of tracking down his quarry is at Razer Stationn where there is a lot more happening than a simple manhunt.

Non stop action from start to finish, colourful characters and surroundings, mass exterminations, promises and betrayals all bound together with wit and humour. Just what would be expected from a Risk novel and the excellent pen of Jake Bible.

Narrator, Andrew Werhlen is also back again superbly breathing extra life into the character of Roak best of the bounty hunters, the man who 'Always.Gets.Paid', Mr.Werhlen's rapid fire but sardonic delivery is a perfect match for the very fast paced story line and he also gives voice to everyone else as well, with clarity and differentiation. Perfect synchronisity.

'Fortuitous skill' or 'luck - call it what you want, it's still luck', Roak is one of the best bad boy heros around, a super hero who's power lies not in anything paranormal but in sheer dogged determination, brute force and a belief in himself and the chits to be earned, but never in others - apart from his very special ship's AI. Hessa. She's quite a character, too.

This series simply gets better and better. And it looks like there will be more to come. My thanks must go to the rights holder of Razer Edge, who gifted me a complimentary copy at my request, via Audiobook Boom. Such a good read - excitement, humour and great narration. I loved it. Thank you again.

Roak - Just Call me Roak "I always get paid "

In this the third book of the Roak series we find Roak needing some chits( money) hence when an easy job to go to an outlaw station to pick up a well known old time technician is offered , Roak goes after his Bounty.
Now if your new to this series or a fan then you know there is no simple job without some snag or " 8 million god damn" reasons why things can go wrong so much, but in this bounty even Roak is finding this one difficult as he eats through money, enemies and ammo and weapons as he attempts to get off the station during a exciting ( everything that can go wrong goes wrong) evacuation.
Despite the obvious lead in to his adventures his gruff , no fool approach from Jake Bible and A. Wehrlens narration helps things along enormously as it just suits this character so well.
Their is enough twists in this story to easily make it the best one yet and also makes for an exciting lead up to the next adventure which I cant wait for.
I was gifted this Audible and choose to leave and honest review and as such is my own opinion.

A great action packed listen.

If you like an action-packed sci-fi adventure with a bad-ass bounty hunter, an AI with attitude and a whole host of well-written interesting characters then this is the book for you. It also has lots of gunfire and explosions.Roak is not a nice person but his directness gives him a refreshing honesty.

The story has good pacing, plot and writing. It will keep you listening from start to finish. This series of books and it's setting is great, full of interesting aliens, strange tech, bizarre locations. I have liked every book in this setting I have listened to, it has a lot of background and history to it. I really want to know what happens next.

The narration is great, each character has a unique voice that clearly conveys their emotion and personality. I love how the narrator does all the alien voices, it adds to the emersion in the world and story. The audio recording is good and I noticed no errors.

All and all this is a great listen that I can wholeheartedly recommend.
