Great story line

The story overall is entertaining, interesting and engaging. It took me a while to really get into the story. Even though things were happening it just wasn’t holding my attention. As the story unfolds it pulls you in and before you know it your hooked and wanting to know what is going to happen next. Interesting story the author has created I'm curious where the author will take the story from here.

Conceivable plot, good writing.

This was a pretty good story. I thought the plot and overall story were very believable and that the writing was definitely on-par. I'll probably be continuing with the rest of the series to hear where the story goes. It was definitely worth my time.

The narrator was good, but I have to admit that it could have been better in a few spots. However, I'm looking forward to the performance in future books.

I requested and received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

Scientist wanting to create the perfect human is not a new concept. Parents wanting a perfect child is not a new concept either. How they go about achieving their goal and what lengths they are willing to go to is the question.

Science is constantly changing and it's scary to think of exactly what the Scientific community is able to achieve. Something like the concept of creating the "perfect" human is not to far off in the future. And it's a scary thought.

What happens when your are one of those who was suppose to be perfect but just like anyone else you have your flaws. Interesting premise not only creating the perfect human but a human that can also fuse with another.

The story however does not always flow smoothly and some of the dialog seems stilted and awkward. Not sure if the awkwardness in the flow of the story is the story itself, the narration or a combination of the two.

Morven Watt does an overall good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Some really good character voices. She does bring the characters to life through her narration. However the narration does not always flow smoothly and there are awkward pauses in the narration which affects the overall flow of the story. The recording quality seems tinny and hollow at times.

Not For ME

In the spirit of , "it is me, not you", I have to say that Project 99: Perfect Human, Book 1, was not for me. I think that it was a generational thing. The production values are well done but I had a very hard time staying with the narration. There is so much on audible so it is hard to stick with something that does not appeal. Because I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher I did try to get into the story but.... This work has merit and entertainment value but the target audience was not me Thanks anyway.

Science shaw can be disturbing...

What made the experience of listening to Project 99 the most enjoyable?

The narration was very good, the voices were distinct and both male and female vices were done well.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When perfect isn't good enough!

Any additional comments?

Great story line, it's all too easy to believe, after all if given the chance who wouldn't want their child to be perfect? In theory, being perfect would give them the best possible chance in life.

But in this story perfect is anything but desirable.

This story is great, it starts well and then just keeps getting better, I'm already looking forward to the next book (although the cliff hanger probably helps with that).

Just ok

This book was a bit weird and I did not like the narrator. Writing left a lot to be desired.
