Publisher's Summary

Alpha Company is embarking on a grand mission, crossing the Dead Lands to find and conquer Gwain’s Keep. Led by Alburet, most of the guild embarks on what could be an epic and memorable journey, as they aim at being the first Two-souled guild to capture a keep.

Besides safeguarding the members of the guild, Alburet also has to worry about the natives that are with them on their journey. Deidre Crowley, Stacia’s sister, is the one he worries about most, having sworn to see her safely across the lifeless desolation of the Dead Lands.

Having to be ultra-vigilant during the day, night brings welcome relief and relaxation to the raid.

For Alburet, Karen, and Stacia, it also brings their chance to help Fluffball come to grips with her past.

phychobabble

Author goes way off into boring phycology, mental health, snore. This slowed down the pace of the whole book with more of that crap then action and adventure. What a total let down this 4th book is. I am done reading any more.

Disappointing

Loved the 1st 3 books. Was really looking forward to listening to the 4th. And what a 4th it was. Less litrpg-more cheesy romance/sex, and that's pretty much it. I will not be finishing this series. Shame on the author for writing this nonsense. And then charging anyone for a book that's 90% Filler.

4th book in the author’s piss poor masturbation fantasy

Like the narrator. Liked the first 2 books. The 3rd started getting way too high school sexual and this one is even worse. 90% of the story is badly written sex scenes. Got very boring and repetitive after a while. I’m sad the series bent this way. It had an interesting start but is just silly and unlistenable now. I’m returning it to hopefully use the credit for something more interesting.

I thought you hated these characters before...

welcome to the next chapter of nothing happening for 7 hours except for sex fantasies. here I thought you would be hard to make a harem boring and unlikeable but this author has proved his might. the voiceover work is actually very good so so that's a plus. At this point I'm just reading the stories hoping all the characters die

LitRPG Harem

To bad. This book is more Harem and romance and very LitRPG elements. But if yoi are into that.. this is a book for you. Liked the first one.. then..

Not a LitRPG any more and not worth the time

TLDR - this book isnt worth the time. It is possible that it gets better by the end but the first half is repetitive and dull. It is mostly focused on the other members of the main character's party trying to convince him that he should give up his principles that he should be loyal to one woman and form a harem. This is combined with painful psychobabble as thry party dives into the traumatic past of each member.

The narrator is great overall but some of the accents became grating as well.

Agree with others that the first two books in the series we're good but I will not be buying any more in this series.

this books is garbage

I don't know how this book actually got good ratings it's terrible author definately isnt proud of this one. I have made it 8 hours in and it is all filler bad sex scenes. Nothing and I mean nothing has happened in 8 hours. I am not finishing this book or buying another in this series it is that bad and he let a book out like this! I will not be spending money on this author again like how can I trust any book he makes when he let's something like this out on audible.

Too much pillow talk, not enough litrpg.

They're supposed to be doing a raid, but instead most of each chapter is spent doing "events" in camp Instead of talking about/describing the raid. it feels as though the litrpg aspect of this series takes a backseat in this book.

Series started well but has got toxic

The toxic male s&m sex fantasy takes up more of the book than the adventure.

I like a character story as much as the person BUT

Now to start I loved the first 3 novels in the series, but this one...

I like a bit of character background and focus just as much as the next person, so at the start of the novel, it was nice to learn a bit about the characters. The problem is that it never ended. It got to the point when I could skip chapters and miss nothing about the actual story which I enjoyed, instead, I got some well written, but unwanted s&m content that didn't end.

You would expect a story to be at least 80% story and maybe 20% character... not the other way round (if that).

In total very repetitive and boring with the interesting parts being far and few.

What A Shame
