Publisher's Summary

Everything has a price. Pangea Online is no different.

Esil has spent the past year toiling in the mines of Pangea while the more wealthy traverse its myriad of gameworlds. His luck changes forever when he stumbles upon a legendary Developer's Chest, containing an invaluable Worldpass, which grants him unlimited travel to all gameworlds.

Now, Esil isn't just stuck watching as others explore Pangea. He can finally level up.

But his in-game actions have real-world consequences and failure online threatens everything he holds dear.

Soundbooth Theater is proud to present another amazing Gamelit adventure, and our very first project with the incredibly talented Justin Thomas James narrating! Only two things in this life are certain . . . .

. . . Death and axes.

First, I want to say just how much I enjoyed the work done by Soundbooth Theater. Justin Thomas James and Laurie Catherine Winkel are just amazing at their jobs narrating. To be honest, I have always acquainted Soundbooth Theater to the outstanding Jeff Hays, and while I lament not having an opportunity to hear his take on this story the duo do a fantastic job with the vocal work. I'm just going to have to be satisfied with the gret production job he's done on this book. I'll most certainly have to keep an ear open and an eye out for more from these two. They are impressive, and I suspect they can easily carry a full novel on their own, and only teamed up here for the sheer fun of it.

Did I say fun? Heck yeah I did. This is a blast of ballistic book that just blows your expectations of what the Lit and RPG smash up genre should entail. You do some world hopping, which really breaks away from the standard lit formula. In a few ways this sort of had a Feedback Loop feel to it. Which is a sweet read if you don't know what I am talking about. One thing that I liked about this is that although it is part of a series, you will notice the Book One section on the cover, this comes off like a stand alone novel. I mean it wraps up nicely, so for all those people out there who lose their minds when a novel has a cliffhanger you will appreciate this book. Of course, there is a door open for us to come back to, which will satisfy people like me who always want more of the good stuff. If caviar was delicious, then this would be caviar, but I'm going to call this a great medium rare porterhouse steak. Something that is juicy and chewy, and really fills you up when you are done, but delicious enough that you will be wanting it again very soon.

Man, the characters are some cool cats too. They are well though up, fleshed out, mean machine personalities that you would probably like to get to know if you found yourself in their world. Esil is just a regular dude who knows a good thing when he sees it, and is smart enough to take his advantage and improve his life. The question is, are you smart enough to do the same?

The opportunity for you to get this book is staring you in the face. Will you improve YOUR life? Will you? Don't ask, Just do it. Get this and be all the better for it.

This book was ffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!

Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

Great Performance and Story

I loved the performance. The two narrators for the characters and tone of the novel perfectly. The story was well written and left me wanting more. I can't wait for the sequel.

Love the narration and the story

Goth narrators are great. Justin James narration is like a warm hug for me. I read the eBook and liked that its complete in itself. A bit ready player one, a bit goblet of fire. The narrators complement the story well. I'm sure this will be a go to audio book for years to come.

Pangaea Online: Death a and Axes

A book worthy of being read or listened too. While on the surface that statement may not appear to speak very highly of the author's efforts, let me go on record as stating that this book exceeding my expectations. KUDOS to S. L. Rowland for bringing his vision to fruition.

I was initially somewhat skeptical when Mr. Rowland offered his book free of charge if I would but submit an honest review. Skeptical? Indeed, for just before PANGEA ONLINE was made available to the public READY PLAYER ONE hit the market in book form and wad
was made into a movie which is currently showing in theaters across the United States.

The books are similar in that two writer's get the same idea and pursue the task of writing their book. Being an inquisitive type person, I purchased READY PLAYER ONE.

So I happily go on record, as a public service to my fellow readers everywhere, "If you see the movie, or read READY PLAYERS ONE, without checking out PANGEA ONLINE, you will be the one who's missing the full experience." I encourage you to listen or read both books.

Both books start out in a future version of Earth where a particular class of person lives in cubicles or stacks. The people of both future worlds are heavily into online gaming. However, at this point our stories take on different tales to be told, visions to be seen, imaginations everywhere to be tweaked.

Oh yes indeed, I do sincerely encourage you to buy-read-listen to both stories. Just as I did... you won't regret it!

Good. But just good.

I liked the story, and I liked the characters. It was worth the credit, but the author took a good plot and decent characters and left it at that. I think the story was missing some depth and also missed the opportunity to make this more than just a decent LitRPG book.

I will buy the next installment. However, I must put in the caveat that I'll buy almost any LitRPG book that has been decently edited and isn't coated in a stiff funk of poorly written, laughably sad, and unimaginative sex fantasies that are barely creditable even to someone with the maturity of a 13-year-old band dork.

a wonderful book brought to life by stellar cast

Listening to his book was exactly as I had imagined it while I read it. I love the effort that the people from soundbite theater put into this story. I was imedieatly pulled in and wasn't ejected until the audible credits at the end. S.L. Rowland did a he'll of a good job writing the story and the narrotors sealed the deal.

defienetly on my need to listen to list.
