OUTSTANDING, perfectly OUTSTANDING!

Would you listen to Omega Days again? Why?

Yes, this is what a zombie story is all about. Fast paced, perfect character development, several story lines; each as good as the last and next and each a stand alone story.

What other book might you compare Omega Days to and why?

Day by Day Series.

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Outstanding all the way around.

Plenty o' Zombies

Mr. Campbell keeps the Zombies as a main thread to this story, not like other Zombie stories where the antagonists are always other groups of evil humans. The suspense keeps coming and coming. His character development is top notch with lots of good guys and bad guys. And the narrator does an outstanding job too. Thank you John! Keep these coming!

Good story. Jumped around a bit too much.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Maybe. It's a decent book, but nothing over-the-top that makes me go "Oh, you HAVE to read this."

What was one of the most memorable moments of Omega Days?

When Skye saw her mother in the crowd of zombies.

I shouldn't be reading this.

Mr. Campbell has that unique talent of drawing the reader into his book and making them feel that they are in with the survivors. Love the story development and the reader is marvelous.
A must to listen to and a keeper in your library. And this comes from someone who is NOT a zombie fan.........well, that may change.

It was just okay

The narrator was pretty good, but the story was hard to follow in some places. I did find a couple of characters that I like. I got lost on some of the characters and lost focus so I'm not sure what even happened. There are many amazing zombie books out there but this isn't one of them. Some parts are pretty good but some of it is just really hard to follow. I can't really recommend it but maybe others will find more joy in reading it than I did.

Wow!

If you could sum up Omega Days in three words, what would they be?

Original, engrossing, and a deep gulp of dark beer in zombie fiction, an area of writing that's often flowing over with over-sweetened Kool aid.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Father Xavier

Which scene was your favorite?

Can't say without spoilers!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Father Xavier and Alden

Any additional comments?

I hope that this authors writes more Zombie fiction and fast, and I hope that he starts a revolution of originality and depth within this genre!

Solid Zombie Entry

Good characters, dialogue, diversity of characters, great local color, etc. Solid plot....storyline.

Very goof narration, the characters were brought to life.

LOVED IT! HAVE LISTENED TO THE WHOLE SERIES

I enjoyed this series immensely. The story line is excellent, even though they start out as different storylines, they all come together in the end. Sorry for it to end.

Another very good zombie story

This is the first John L Campbell story I have heard and I was pleasantly surprised. It really is yet another very good title to add to the zombie genre.

The narration was pretty good, not RC Bray quality but still very good. The narration was slower than I liked and was easily sped up to 1.5x speed without any problems at all. This does shorten the length of the story somewhat but it is still excellent value per hour, if that makes a difference (I know it does for me on a limited budget)

The story starts off with a lot of separate accounts of survivors but towards the very end, it speeds up as the separate subplots and groups come together. I get the sense this is going to be a long series because this first book has only very briefly tackled the idea of 'why the end started'. I am going to purchase the next in the series and can only hope it is just as good as this one!

If you are interested in this type of title may I also suggest the following:
Adrians Undead Diary (series)
Z-Burbia (series) has a lot more violence and naughty language
Mountain Man (series)
