Publisher's summary

A mercenary with a secret past.

A pirate leader with a secret mission.

A clash that will shake planets.

Mercenary Captain Brad Madrid has spent years building the resources to go after the man who murdered his family. His new career has benefits - but also duties and responsibilities he cannot lightly brush aside.

A new mission brings him once again into conflict with the Terror, however, and as friends and lovers alike perish around him, he realizes that responsibility and vengeance align. Neither the man he was nor the man he is can suffer the Terror to live.

Aided by allies across the planets and a familiar shadowy spy, Brad will hunt his enemy across the Solar System, chasing down a final confrontation that will shake the foundations of humanity...and fulfil his Oath of Vengeance.

Epic story

Believable tech combined with sympathetic human characters lure into this series. Page turners (or audible equivalent). Brad, dealing with emotions in an adult, wise manner is refreshing. Typically story line of its own,
Often tedious, but not to Glenn Stewart who crafts thoughtful humans with panache. Don’t miss these two books and do read Book #1 first.

FANTASTIC. ACTION PACKED.

Excellent series. Captain Brad Madrid and his crew together with friends and allies continue looking for "Terror" and the pirates. The storyline is fantastic and fast paced throughout. There are twists and turns and the struggles Brad had to face. The enemies are even found in the government agencies and they are powerful people. I find that there should be more books on this series as at the end there are still some not answered. I hope Glynn Steward will consider to continue this series. Worth a credit.

great second chapter to this story

I love this series and this book didn't disappoint. that being said if feel as though the stories are a bit condensed and could use some more depth.

One of the best sleepers

The story flows so well that each book can stand alone but makes it that much better together the performance is one of Jeffrey Kafer’s best . The only downside is that it leaves you wanting more.

IGNORANT & PATHETIC, BUT TOLERABLE...

For a military sci fi opera it is not so bad. Stewart uses ignorant made up words. He also uses stupid, poorly thought up religions in a universe of star travel and limitless knowledge. Why would people who can create and manufacture bodies and body parts a hundred times better than what they are born with, need to put faith in theology? There is no god or jesus, or allah, or anything resembling such stupidity.
