Publisher's summary

It's been 20 years since the fall, the destruction the world brought on itself. Can Terry Henry Walton, enhanced as he is, help bring civilization back as he seeks to atone for previous actions?

By protecting and nurturing the ones with the knowledge. Terry Henry Walton begins building his Force de Guerre, a paramilitary group that will secure this new world from those who would take and destroy.

When the enemies of peace appear before the FDG is ready, Terry partners with a werewolf to fight a battle that he must win.

Set in the Kurtherian Gambit universe, Nomad Found begins the Terry Henry Walton Chronicles, the time between the WWDE and the return of Michael to Earth.

As noted in other series set in the Kurtherian Universe, there is cursing in this book, occasionally. It's funny, too.

Interesting story

I picked this up since it was available on Kindle unlimited and it was a pleasant surprise. Only while going thru the author's notes did I realize that it's dry in a universe which TH is a minor character, which was very interesting. Now I have to check out the Kuthetian Gambit series to figure out the rest of the universe. Overall it's a book about post apocalyptic universe with mythical creatures, not a bad combo.

A very good after the apocalypse book

This book took me a while to finish, but it did it's job. It hooked me into getting the next book in this series and continuing on with the story. I look forward to see how TH is going to rebuild civilization.

Great story, need a male reader

I’m sorry to say that Kate Rudd just isn’t who I think of when it comes to a male driven story. It’s like hearing Dame Judy Dench read John Wayne. Just doesn’t fit. Not that Kate doesn’t try her best but I struggled to try to enjoy listening to the story while driving since reading and driving are frowned upon by my family, the police and my insurance company.

Go, TH!

Excellent addition to the "Kurtherian Universe". I really liked his character in Anderle's book, and I wonder if he married his female kryptonite and had some good years before WWDE. Hope to hear the backstory as to when he got his injection of the Fountain of Youth. Look forward to reading/audio of next books in series. Rudd does a great job with narration.

Very good first book in this series!

This was a great book, I really enjoyed it. I love that Terry Henry Walton for sure! I really like Char too. I think there may be a potential romance blooming there.

This is a great spinoff of Bethany Anne's stories, I am hoping though that like the Bethany Anne books they do not add 100 more characters, It is annoying and gets too confusing,

I really like this post apocalyptic world. Trying to rebuild earth and dealing with jerks and bad guys.

I will continue on with the series unless it gets too extreme with so many characters that it becomes no longer enjoyable.

As for t he narration, it was AMAZING! Just sayin Kate Rudd does an awesome job on all the voices and her reading voice is excellent, Love her narrations,

My new favorite series!!!

An excellent book which I thoroughly enjoyed. Craig Martelle and Michael Anderle did a great job as authors and Kate Rudd's naration was excellent! I just finished book 21 of The Kutherian Gambit (also excellent ) and I am so pumped to find another series which can deliver at that level. Next move is downloading Book 2 of the Nomad Series ASAP.

Marvelous!

Even though I had already read the book a couple of times, listening to Kate Rudd read it added so much to the experience. The Nomad series has long been favorite, every since the first book was published. While I wasn't totally new to Audible books, I use to only listen to them on the rare occasion I was going somewhere that I would be in the car more than 5 minutes. But with this book, which I had been listening to on the way to a doctor's appointment 20 miles away, hooked me so completely that I continued to listen to it after I got home. Craig Martelle's writing is always fabulous, and since first reading this book, I've gone on to read just about all he has written. But his books written in the KGU are my favorites with the sensational Nomad Series being the top of the heap in my opinion. So, seeing the lower price on this book I decided to purchase and now will probably be going on to listen to the rest. (in the meantime, have discovered some of his short stories on Ear Crush! And I'm filling in with those) Kate Rudd makes the story come to life with her ability to give distinctive sounds to most of the main characters. (I'm sure I'll hear her voice in my head every time I read a Bad Company or Nomad book in the future! 😉) If you are looking for a great post-apocalyptic book to either read or listen to, look no further! This is a great book that can be enjoyed even if you haven't read any of Michael Anderle's Kurtherian Gambit Series. Just know you can't go wrong with anything with Michael Anderle's name on it whether as the author or a co-author! Not only that, the genres vary, paranormal, Syfi, fantasy, space operas, and more, often crossing over to include multiple genres making them all totally unique and enjoyable!

Great book and awesome narration..

A personal message.

I got this book way back when it was a free read, free listen or it was $1.99, not sure which. Anyway, I would have read all of them but I can’t spend $67 on the other 9 books in the series. I did read the first 9 books in the Kurtherian series but, again, the price went waaaay up and I stopped there. How can authors really expect readers to spend that kind of money on one series? There’s going to be a total of 27 books in the Kurtherian series. Anyway, I wrote a letter to Audible about the prices they set on their books and guess what? They wrote me back and told me they had nothing to do with the prices of those series’, that the author and the publishers set that price. For real?

I just wanted all you Audible listeners to know that the greediness comes from the authors and publishers NOT from Audible. At least, that’s what Audible says. Oh, and I did use the QUESTION box on Goodreads and asked Michael Anderle about it but, of course, he never answered me.

I know I'm going to mess around and get kicked off of Goodreads and Audible for daring to state my opinion, just like I did on Amazon. Oh, I can fill my Kindle with books and shop like crazy but I'm not allowed to leave a review on a book or on something I bought. I can only spend money. So, if you ever STOP seeing my reviews you'll know what happened to me. I'm wondering if this will even be posted on Audible, to tell you the truth.

OK, enough ranting.

Now to the book.

I loved it. Loved Terry Henry Walton and Char, Margie Rose, (sometimes) Billy Spires, didn’t like Felicity, liked Terry’s soldiers. I simply hated Sawyer Brown and he got exactly what was coming to him.

It was all about Terry making it to Margie Rose’s house sick and tired and so thirsty. She took him in, got him better, and when bad guys came to try to take the food she’d grown Terry kicked all four of their butts. Then went into town and found the mayor Billy Spires and told him he’d be his head of security and make sure no one came to town to take anything from the town. After seeing his men and finding out Terry killed one of them Billy thought he should try Terry’s idea. And it began: the training, the helping of the farmers and the complete turn-around of Mayor Billy Spires. And, Sawyer Brown thinking he could come into town and take what he wanted and killing two of the town’s people.

No sex and the F-bomb is used 64 times.

As to the narration: You can’t get much better than Kate Rudd. Her voices and emotions are spot on.
