To the surprise and chagrin of his officers and crew alike, Alex concocts a new plan, for he believes humanity faces not one but two alien species, and one may be enslaved to the other. If so, Alex believes, slaves should be liberated, not obliterated.

To test Alex's theory, his people must capture a wholly intact silver ship - a feat never before accomplished. The crew remains doubtful, but their admiral is determined to communicate with the aliens before he's forced to destroy them, and his wish is their command.

Can’t put them down!

Mr. Jucha, this series is so imaginative- truly other-worldly. Thank-you for writing it. I don’t know if you ever had doubts or rejections, but if you did, I for one am glad you worked through it.

If you love space-opera, with well drawn-out characters, a love story which never makes you hit the fast-forward, and with the most inventive species to meet, then you will love this series.

"Meridian" is novel three of a 3 novel story.

I enjoyed more than #2, or #1. My earlier reviews I had mushmouthed about too little action sense I have resolved the issue wasn't the novels, but what I'd grown accustomed to in a space opera. In fact I'm here saying that the elements, & character of this set are more, and better than most Sci-Fi I've come across. I think what it is, is a woman's take on a hero; he, Alex is the author's love hero as well as a space opera brilliant star ship captain.

Another excellent chapter in the series

Excellent Series with very good character and plot development. Thought enjoyable series.
Can't wait to read the next instalment in the series. Audible narration is very well done.

poor merger ways of audio an written word is shit

differences with Kindle audible or Amazon apps for purchasing have inconsistencies of how to make the purchases when you want both read with your eyes and listen at the same time have too many difference procedures confusing someone who knows how to do it in one app and can't figure it out in the other. including a constant inability to tell you whether you already only book or an audio book existing your library the poorly noncommunicating libraries between audible library Kindle library Amazon library.. all three apps should use one single library three times the work necessary to do what using the same format for all three apps. you use my saying sign-in in passcodes laziness failure to give a shit

Visiting Meridien

Good continuation of the story, picking up right where we left off in book 1. Interesting to learn more about the Meridien culture. Good story. Will be moving on to book 3.

I'm going to finish this series.

It impresses me when I can binge an entire book series spanning more than 3 books. I just can't put this series down. On to book 4!

I really like this series, both for its storyline and narration. It's on my To-recommend list of books.

I'm really enjoying the worlds, aliens and narration of the Silver Ship stories. I hope it might pick up a little bit as development continues.

Meeting the Silver Ships

At the end of the last book, the Meridien from Libre and Alex arrived back in his home world. In this episode, Alex finds a government controlled by a man who is against Alex and the Meridien. Alex discovers the people are still with him and the Meridien but they decided to find a world of their own. At the end of the last book, Alex put forth a theory that the silver ships are possibly slaves of the alien in the giant ship. That would make the discovery of two different alien species instead of one. Alex sets out to attempt to communicate with the aliens in the silver ships. I was taken by surprise by the world they chose to settle.

The book is well written and the plot twists and turns. The politics are also heating up. The characters are evolving and the Meridien are having problems adjusting from their pacifist beliefs. At times, Jucha seems to over simplify; I would enjoy a more complex situation and characters. I am enjoying reading about the building of a new society and world. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I read this as an audiobook downloaded from Audible. The book is just over fourteen hours long. Grover Gardner does an excellent job narrating the book. Gardner is an actor and award-winning audiobook narrator.
