Publisher's Summary

Mallory Quinn is just your everyday witch. Badass, honorable, and able to go toe to toe with the best whiskey drinker this side of Tennessee, but when NASA comes to recruit her for a daring space rescue, she'll find herself among a motley crew of the supernatural world.

Their goal is simple, keep the evil lord Zug of space planet Maverick from acquiring the Gideon cube and using its immense power to rain down destruction on earth. Sounds easy, right? Well, it would be, if not for the niggling 36 hour timeline that started yesterday.

❤️

I enjoyed the authors other books so I thought I’d give this a try. It’s an interesting mix of fantasy/scifi. I really enjoyed it. It was a bit short for my tastes. Loved the characters and the humor. I’ll definitely follow up on this one. I enjoyed the narrator.

If Dresden existed in the SW universe

I'll start by saying I did enjoy this book as I do with most of Cipriano's work. This was my first time listening to Eli Walker and she gave it her own tone and did a great job. She made it a very animated experience from page one. and when you get through the premise of the story and further in you appreciate it more and more as her tone and voices are spot on for this book.
I will be back to see what happens next in this series.

Minarets Vs Aliens for adults

Remember that cartoon dream works movie monsters vs aliens? Welcome to the adult version. Take a bisexual (mostly lesbian) witch, an Atlantian, fishman, a vampire, werewolf rage beast, a pixie, a cyborg and more. They work for the government. They are an agency that takes on the worst that the university can throw at them and they keep going. The latest mission will take them off world against a lizard like race with an insect like hive mind that are bent on religious jihad on the universe and they seek a special cosmic cube style weapon that will grant them ultimate power to reshape or destroy the entire universe and everyone in it. Can they handle it? Hell yeah they can and with more attitude and flippant banter than a grade b movie. Sit back relax and enjoy one helluva a ride. Enjoyable

I would have enjoyed this audiobook more if it wasn't for all of the audio errors. It was really annoying when you have one character explain something and then right after another character explains the same thing verbatim. I look forward to seeing where this series will take me. Snarky and fun!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The story was very entertaining and funny. The characters were likable and the author did a good job of world building. The narrator did a pretty good job, all things considered. There were a handful of mistakes that should be edited out, but I thought she did a pretty good job. She had a dynamic voice and gave characters their own voice. I think this one is a worth a credit.

Interesting story, narration needs editing

The story is entertaining. An amusing take on Science Fantasy. The narration needs editing, though. There are several places where the narrator stops to restart a sentence a few times before getting it right. These should have been edited out before the audiobook was published but they were not.
