Publisher's Summary

In a desperate bid to save Lucy, Alex goes in search of the secret government facility on Apocalypse Island. If the scientists there created the virus, then surely they have a cure. Alex will go to any lengths to get it, even if it means risking his life in a building full of monsters.

Even if it means facing patient zero.

Don't worry if you don't like English Zombie Books

The third installment leaves no doubt that it's all American. The story line is a bit ridicules but still entertaining.

Good but real short

What did you love best about Lightning: Fighting the Living Dead?

I am loving this story about the 2 types of dead and the isolation that the characters are always dealing with in this book. It really pits them again all odds and I like that in my zombie books.

The Undead Rain series is a winner!

What made the experience of listening to Lightning: Fighting the Living Dead the most enjoyable?

Great writing. Believable characters. Each book just keeps getting better.

What other book might you compare Lightning: Fighting the Living Dead to and why?

Return Man

What about Brian Grey’s performance did you like?

An excellent performer who has a great, nuanced voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, over several days.

Any additional comments?

This was a very interesting take on the genre and I particular enjoyed how the author evolved the protagonist. I am looking forward to the audio realization of his fourth novel and am glad to hear he's working on a fifth.
