Publisher's Summary

Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment and Warner Bros are set to bring YA sci-fi novel Illuminae to the big screen.

The year is 2575, and two megacorporations are at war over a planet that's little more than an ice-covered speck. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Ezra and Kady have to make their escape on the evacuating fleet. But their troubles are just beginning. A deadly plague has broken out on one of the spaceships and is mutating, with terrifying results. Their ship's protection is seriously flawed. No one will say what is going on. As Kady hacks in to a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her: Ezra. And the only problem with that is they split up before all this trouble started, and she isn't supposed to be talking to him.

A fantastically original, heart-stopping adventure where everything is definitely more dangerous than it seems.

Why censor for?

Hard to get in to due to the distracting censoring of the swear words, I kept thinking my device was playing up/skipping/buffering. Glad audible offers returns.

Brilliant book by two awesome aussie authors!!

Where does Illuminae rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

i haven't listen to that many audio books in my reading time and i've only just started but this is so far one of the best read audio books i think i will ever listen to.. the acting and sounds were brilliant.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favourite character in this series would have to be Kady, shes just so badass and independent

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances? How does this one compare?

i don't think i have as i'm not familiar with the actors.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the whole thing was brilliant

Read it Or regret it.

I read and listen to a lot of books and this sat on my phone for a while, i wasnt really keen on the writing format so was reluctant to try this even though i had bought it. But walking home one day realised i had nothing else left and was forced to listen to it. And im so glad i did.

I have read a lot of books from many genres, i mean brandon Sandersons my fave author. But this is hands down the best audio series i have ever heard and i write this review in the final few hourse of the second. Annoyed because i thought the third book was out.

The censoring of swear words was a little annoying but its explained in the story and you can easily tell what they are saying. The voice cast is great You will become attached to the characters quickly and become hooked by the mystery. The second quarter of book one is a little slow but from there it picks up speed like an avalanche contiuing into book 2 with an extended cast.

Just got better and better

A Masterful story telling. A very different yet technically based documented story that simply grew better and better throughout.

Great Performance

The only fault was having to pause when I needed to get actual work done.
