Publisher's summary

With the sudden disappearance of Iannis, the Chief Mage, Solantha has erupted into pandemonium. Citizens are rioting in the streets, the Mages Guild is on a misguided warpath, and shifters and humans are fleeing the city in droves.

Ridden with guilt, Sunaya defies the Mages Guild and goes off in search of Iannis, trekking into dangerous, uncivilized territory to try and make things right. But Sunaya's relationship with Iannis isn't the only thing at stake - if she doesn't find him soon, the Resistance might just succeed in plunging the Northia Federation into a devastating and bloody civil war.

Ooohh! Getting good!

Book 3 is my favorite so far in the series! Intrigue, deception, attempted murder, secrets, aboriginals, & a boat load of sarcasm provided loads of entertainment.

Love it

I really like the Bains chronicles series. This is my second time reading it. The first time I read it, this time I'm listening to it, which makes it even better. I hope this series doesn't with book 7.

Great series!

What other book might you compare Hunted by Magic to and why?

I love this whole series so far!

Any additional comments?

Hunted by Magic (The Baine Chronicles #3) by Jasmine Walt continues with more adventure and suspense. In this one, the rebels have kidnapped mages and the Chef Mage is missing. Our gal, weak from almost dying, is not allowed to go with the rescue party but that doesn't stop her. Another fast, fun adventure story that keeps going and keeps the action going!

Hunted by Magic

This review includes some spoilers. So our favorite chief mage has to go to a convention and on the way the ship gets taken down by the resistance and Sanyana along with Feneris and Onya go to find him dealing with many things to find him. Through this they learn even more about the resistance and the benefactor what he's trying to do. One thing that does happen is the chief mage and Sanyana both seem to get their emotions out on the table. About time I say! As always looking forward to the next part especially after hearing a sample of the next book from audible.

Never a dull moment

This is a very entertaining series, good characters, interesting plot and plenty of action. Unlike book #2 which had a huge cliff hanger ending this book concludes its story arch but the overall story goes on. The “F” word is quite noticeable in this book, I don’t remember it that much in the first two books. The word search function on my kindle app only found it 39 times but it felt like more perhaps because it seems to come in clumps. You’ll hear it 4 or 5 times in a 10 minute section then she goes back to By Magorah, an expletive for this series which seems to mean by the gods. There aren’t any actual sex scenes in this book but there are a few references to it and they seem more crude than romantic to me. Neither of the above will stop me from getting book #4 when it’s released, but thought I would mention it since I have friends that are very sensitive to language.
Laurel Schroeder does another great job narrating.

Exciting

witches, werewolves, paranormal, mage, urban-fantasy

Fast paced urban fantasy with a strong female protagonist, no erotica, and lots of well differentiated characters. Although it is part of a series, the reader does not feel left out or floundering, but decidedly inclined to get more of the series! See publisher's blurb for hints and clues, no spoilers here.
Alerted to Whispersync bargain by Book Gorilla, and Laurel Schroeder did an excellent job as narrator!
