Publisher's summary

In the sixth novel in the New York Times bestselling Iron Druid Chronicles, two-thousand-year-old Druid Atticus O’Sullivan finds himself the target of two goddesses of the hunt and a trickster god determined to unleash the apocalypse.

“[Kevin] Hearne is a terrific storyteller with a great snarky wit. . . . Neil Gaiman’s American Gods meets Jim Butcher’s Harry Dresden.”—SFFWorld

For someone who’s been alive for two thousand years, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt—Artemis and Diana—for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound, Oberon, are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is . . . run like hell.

Crashing the pantheon marathon is the Norse god Loki. Killing Atticus is the only loose end he needs to tie up before unleashing Ragnarok—AKA the Apocalypse. Atticus and Granuaile have to outfox the Olympians and contain the god of mischief if they want to go on living—and still have a world to live in.

Critic reviews

“Celtic mythology and an ancient Druid with modern attitude mix it up in the Arizona desert in this witty new fantasy series.” (Kelly Meding, author of Chimera)

“A page-turning and often laugh-out-loud funny caper through a mix of the modern and the mythic.” (Ari Marmell, author of The Warlord’s Legacy)

Mr Hearne does it again!

Would you consider the audio edition of Hunted to be better than the print version?

I didn't read it, nor have I read any of these on listened to the full set of volumes. But I keep coming back! They are so worth it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oberon, you just have to love this telepathic adorable Irish wolfhound.

Which character – as performed by Luke Daniels – was your favorite?

Again Oberon

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed, got concerned, felt the romance, enjoyed the humor, respected the insight and one up man ship over legends, and can't wait for the next volume. But I guess I will have to.

Any additional comments?

This is a great series with unique insights and twists on the myths fantasy genre. This is the best book since the first volume. Keep em coming, more Oberon, more redheads...!

This is the best one in series so far

If you could sum up Hunted in three words, what would they be?

Adventurous, Sad, and Hysterical.

What other book might you compare Hunted to and why?

There are many but this series is a paranormal one of a kind so it's hard to do that. The underdog fighting off the powers that try to crush them.....Lots of books like that.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Granuaile, and Oberon are saying a eulogy. It is very touching and heart warming.and a bit humorous.

Any additional comments?

I loved the ending Oberon gets a friend......I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out to find out when and if Ragnarok does happen and who ends up being on the side of the Druids. There has been a lot of underhanded happenings that we still don't know about. Atticus, Granuaile and Oberon are still in danger from an unknown enemy. Hoping to find out who that is in the next installment.

What's To Be Said, That Hasn't Been Said Already

If your a Unapologetic fan of this series like me, then you all ready know how good this series is. It seems to get a little confusing at times for me, more of less when it comes to the combat stuff. However, all the rest most definitely makes up for any sort of battle talk that is used. There is some downer type stuff in this book that make you go.. "Well Damn!!!" All is more or less a-ok by the end. I ask much as I may dread the soon to be ending of this series.. 6 down, 2 to go, I know that the Iron Druid Chronicles will hopefully end with me having a smile on my mug & gladness in my heart for having experienced this series.

Another great adventure!

Luke Daniels' narration is incredible and brings this series to life! This installment (book 6) isn't my favorite book in the series, but overall still is great. Can't wait to listen to book 7!

A Real Tear-Jerker

Another great story with more depth than the previous books. I highly recommend it. A few sad scenes had me in tears on the treadmill so read at your own peril. Don't worry it is still a great story!

One of the better ones in the series

The characters are wonderful and Oberon continues toke me laugh out loud unexpectedly. Has a very sweet epilogue to this installment, as well.
