Publisher's Summary

Life isn't always sweet for magical baker, Cindy Eller. All her life she's been cursed - every man she's ever kissed has turned into a toad. Love isn't likely to come her way. If that weren't a big enough problem, her "curse" has come to the attention of the Council of Magic and she may never be able to use her powers.

Enter the perfect man - handsome, sweet, and loves food just as much as Cindy does. It would seem to be a match made in Heaven, or is it? Cindy isn't the only one keeping secrets. With toads, cupcakes, romance, magic and ice cream, life never has time to get dull!

Be warned-Terrible audio quality!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Better audio-quality

What did you like best about this story?

I couldn't listen to it, on a mp3-player the audio-quality is so ridiculously bad, every second word is unrecognizable. So I have nothing to say about the story.

Would you be willing to try another one of Alex Marshall-Brown’s performances?

Maybe, but only with a intense test of the sampler...

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Frustration: I normally like the author. But not being able to listen to the first in the series is a big disappointment.

Any additional comments?

Please, audible, do some remastering!

The characters are witty, full of life and depth, and have real problems. The writing is clever and draws you in.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration was well done but the quality of the sound wasn't good.
