Emotional and original..

When Claire Finds an orphaned puppy she gets much more than she bargained for in this bittersweet story. As an orphan herself, Claire and the pup she named Fido become instant soul mates. There's some drama when others in town don't feel the same joy over her new shifter friend. This well written extremely well narrated book had enough unexpected turns to hold my interest quite well. I highly recommend this short story. I was given this copy at no cost to me and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Great quick read

Hounded by Marla Brazil was a good quick read. Claire stumbles upon a puppy that was left alone in the woods. As time goes by Claire realizes that Fido isn’t who she thinks. This was a great quick read.

Hounded

Claire's friend from school informs her she has found a hell hound after some unique changes to the pup she found. Of course Claire thinks she's repeating folklore and does not believe her. The bear twist at the end of the story was wonderful. The story is a short, fun easy listen. Kate Tyler does and amazing job on the narration.

Not your typical girl finds pup story...

Hounded by Marla Braziel in not your usual girl finds cute puppy story. First off, there's more than meets the eye to this pup. Fido has red eyes and a classmate of Claire's has an idea of what Fido actually is. Claire and Fido grow up together and Fido is extremely devoted to Claire. I don't want to give away the story, but as things start to get serious with Claire and a local boy, Fido reaches maturity and crazy things start to happen. This was a fun story, though the ending was a bit odd and I felt that the ending overall was rushed. I would have liked the ending to have been fleshed out a bit more. I think that way it wouldn't have been so abrupt.

Kate Tyler did a good job narrating this novella. She bring life and emotion to the characters, which I really enjoy. There were three or four instances where the recording sounded poor and you could tell that it was where a small portion had been re-recorded and it didn't match up with the original recording. Aside from those few instances though, I enjoyed her narration and look forward to listening to more of her performances. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Very interesting tale

Great short read. Some new mythology to me in the form of "devil dogs" sorry I read that and think marines. This is a story that covers from a young teen into her adulthood and though it reads like a YA book it is definitely for a slightly older or mature audience mainly for one scene in the book. The plot was well thought out and the characters well well developed even for such a short book. By the end I saw who each person was and what drove them. From power trips to lust from a good heart to a true friendship.

The narration was excellent, I really like how she handled the book, The pacing was excellent, not over dramatized so the story shone through.

I will definitely be looking for more from both this author and narrator.

Romantic love story; or is it?

Well, a very interesting tale indeed, which can be viewed from either side of the coin. On one hand we have a bittersweet romantic story of a young girl and the love for her dog. On the other hand you may find a passionate, naïve young girl allowing emotions to guide her through critical, life-changing decisions. The end result could be viewed as some sort of romantic karma, or the beginnings of another disaster. Your impression could go either way; or perhaps a little of both. Short and sweet

This story is surprisingly touching, I don't normally get attached to characters so quickly, but this book really drew me in.

I loved Fido's story, it was so unexpected and yet worked so well.

The narration was well done, good character voices and the delivery was well paced. The sound quality was a little off, it was noticeable at the start but I got used to it after a while.

sweet little short shifter story

This was a sweet little shifter story. It doesn't go into to much detail because it is a short story. But its enough to keep you listening. Unlike other shifter stores, its sweet and ind of pure. its not jam packed full of sex. Not to say there isn't a sex scene init, but. its not what the book is about or based on.

Kate Tyler did a good job telling this story.
