Publisher's summary

He's finally found something to care about after a century of searching, but will he lose it all at the hands of his most dangerous foe yet?

Seven years ago, Quincy Harker vanquished the demon Orobas and saved the city of Charlotte, NC from his evil plans. Or so he thought. Now the half-divine Nephilim are turning up dead in the Queen City, and it looks like Orobas is back to finish the job.

Can Harker stop Orobas, or will the bloodthirsty demon unleash hell on Earth?

Who is behind these horrible murders, and why do they seem to be calling Harker out?

Will this be the battle that finally ends the long life of Quincy Harker, Demon Hunter?

Find out when Harker, his girlfriend Detective Rebecca Flynn, his guardian angel Glory, and his uncle, the legendary Count Dracula bring the battle of the diving and demonic right to Heaven's Door.

He's the immortal magic-wielding child of Jonathan Harker and Mina Murray from the classic novel Dracula. But to him it's not a story, it's family history. Quincy Harker is what you'd get if Constantine were renewed by HBO and taken to the darkest of dark sides. When things go bump in the night, he bumps right back.

Killing demons one liner at a time

Any additional comments?

Hartness is good a writing characters who are easy to relate to. Good humor mixed with plenty of action. Foster is perfect throughout.

The Best Quincy Harker Story Yet!

My favorite Quincy Harker story so far! Q is his usual snarky self only a little softer this time because of Detective Flynn.

Q and Detective Flynn are working on solving murders that are tied to someone attempting to open a portal to hell. As we learned in the last book, this was attempted 7 years prior but Q was able to stop it. You’ll have to read it to find out how this story goes! I don’t want to spoil anything.

Uncle Luke, Christy and the weird demon who owns the sanctuary bar all appear in this story and but as usual Q is my favorite character (I love his sarcastic comments).

The narration is fantastic and perfect for the story. James Foster does snarky, sarcastic and foul mouthed very well.

This book ends in a bit of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to continue this series.

Quincy's hardest fight yet!

Seeing as this is book 6, and if I say something about the plot, I could spoil something for this one or for preceding ones, I'm not going to say anything other than that this is Quincy's hardest fight yet!! It sees Quincy having to deal with someone killing Nephalim and trying to open the door to hell. Quincy finds out that it is his old nemesis Orobas but who is helping him? Well let me just say, be prepared for some shocks!!

Love this series and so far it hasn't disappointed me yet! Being that they are all so short, I'm amazed at how much the author can cram into it without it feeling rushed. Lot's of action, fights, snarky comments and even a little romance. We also get a plot that is packed full of twists and turns and with some surprising revelations!

I adore the character of Quincy! He is kick ass, snarky and not afraid to do what's right and what's needed. I mean he does something quite drastic to himself in order to destroy a demon!!! I love his snarkiness the most though. Some of his lines have me laughing out loud. I also love how the author throws in some pop culture references! I loved seeing Quincy show a softer side too. His relationship with the good detective is slowly growing and it was awesome to see.

In all, this series is a fun and addicting read. The author has created some amazing characters and ones that will stay with you for a long time.

James Foster is Quincy Harker!! I honestly don't think I would like anyone else to narrate him. He "gets" Quincy and really brings his personality to life. He never fails to deliver anything other than a stellar performance with each story he tells. A must listen narrator.

Another Great Entry In The Series

Quincy Harker is a 100+-year-old half vampire and magic user who is also related to Dracula. He also sometimes works for a division of Homeland Security that is aware of supernatural creatures. That’s the setup for one of John G. Hartness’ best series of books.

Mr. Hartness chooses to write novellas instead of novels, but he publishes 4 per year. Each novella is usually its own self-contained story, but this round of 4 novellas are all part of one single story. In book 5, the start of the story, someone is murdering Nephilim, the offspring of an angel and a human. This takes place a few years in the past. By the end of the novella, we think Quincy has resolved the problem. In book 6 we come to realize Quincy had only postponed the problem. The demon, Orobas, is now ready to restart his plan to unleash hell on Earth.

The narration for “Heaven’s Door” is provided by James Foster, who is simply one of the best in the business. The bottom line is if you like well written, urban fantasy stories with plenty of action, magic, supernatural creatures and great character interaction, then you really have to give “Heaven’s Door” a try. If you like it, make sure you get book 5, the beginning of the story.

Finally, this audio book was provided by the narrator at no cost in exchange for an honest review courtesy of Audio Book Boom.

When your past returns, bad things can happen.

Following the revelations of book 5 about Quincy's past, this story sort of closes this current story arc and starts a new one. You get to see who the actual plotters with Oroboros the Demon lord are, and what their endgame is. There are revelations a plenty, relationships redefined, and new challenges that push Quincy and his friends to the breaking point. Quincy needs a lot of fast thinking and even faster shooting and spellcasting to work his way out of this one, and its not bloodless or without Sacrifice on Quincy's part. Overall, a great addition to the series, with James Foster providing his usual outstanding narration. I cant recommend this series highly enough!

Dracula legacy at its best

Draculas legacy is a creation of not only himself but of Mina and
Jonathan harker. And he is one badass half vampire, wizard, etc. all sorts of great allies and enemies and some things will be revealed in this 6th installment that will topple all you know
And set up for the next book a challenge and a lineup of allies the likes of which we have never seen up till now. Be ready for some serious loss as well fans. This one will hit you hard. You will lose a friend you've grown to love in this one. And be ready for your ideas to be stripped to the core.
