    "Quickly devolves into erotica. "

The book was fairly entertaining until it rapidly shifted from LitRPG to pretty crass erotica. If that's your thing, you'll love this, otherwise, I'd recommend passing.

    "Great listen. Needs edits"

I loved this story, well thought out, interesting concepts, good characters, and development, with the exception of some of the minor "party" characters.

The one thing that really bugged me was the stat listings after every chapter. While it probably looked good in the book, maybe with a picture like a baseball card, it is annoying to hear the narrator read it.

The only other note I have is that it's very much a series book, doing a lot of setup at the sacrifice of its own story arc. I hope the new one comes out soon, as I feel like I just finished half a book.

    Story
"One of the worst LitRPGs I've experienced"

Main character is an unlikable pervert. The author attempts to give him endearing qualities by making him polite to the NPCs and a good tipper, but this isn't nearly enough to do the job. Even the narrator gets bed him a gruff and snide sounding voice.

The erotica was overdone, unexpected, and unwanted. The main character is a "literal" sadist.

The grinding an leveling was boring and the same over and over again. Other authors at least manage to entertain with the group be, but this author seemed to not want to make the effort. It was either kill an Ork or kill a Goblin, and there was never much suspense. Even the subplots, although showed some promise, went absolutely nowhere.

I highly recommend yo suggest this book to anyone you don't like and would like to see suffer.

    "meh"

not very entertaining, not funny, and not a good story. way too much concentration on relationships and social stuff particularly comments about sex that didn't add to the entertainment value of the story. nothing special happened and the main character has exactly one gimmick which isn't very important. the prisoner thing was overplayed as if to imply that the main character is some sort of anti-hero.

    "Chaotic Good at it's Finest"

A main character that's gotten his hands dirty. Is willing to get his hands dirty for what us emotionally correct if not legal. How far would you go if someone hurt a child that was dear to you? And I mean hurt bad? I know how I would answer, and this MC has that same dark rage. Nit a saint, but defiantly a hero.

Narration is a good fit, character development is spot on. This is worth either the credit or the $$ for it.

I am eager for book 2 when it eventually hits Audible!

slow start with a meh narrarator that grows on you after awhile. But once the story picks up it gets good.

"Veered from LitRPG to smut in a hurry."

Starts off great, then abruptly drops 90% of the plot for sudden harem-building. Main character goes from quoting Shakespeare to publicly slapping an ass (literally) in the space of a chapter. It would be okay reading if that was the genre I'd paid money for, but it wasn't and I finally dropped it 3/4 of the way in. You can almost see the exact point where the author threw his original premise out a window so he could get back to recreating his favorite... shall we say "inspirational" videos. The whole thing came off as the way I imagine White Knights must fantasize their behaviour working out for them online. Narrator was adequate though.

    Story
    "RPG lit begining, erotica ending"

The story is all well and good for the first 6 hours as a nice RPG-lit story that doesn't speed 10 mins every hour relisting all of the characters stats in complete detail and thank God for that. However at around hour 6-7 the story shift to full on erotica for a few hours that I was not expecting or wanted, it gets so absurd in a few scenes you'd think you'd have switch books to a trashy romance novel written by a teenage boy. Thankfully the story only goes into full detail about the moments leading up to the X-rated action and mercifully skips all of the over the top intercourse detail. The major story that made the beginning so good returns for the last 1/3 of the book. The characters are well thought out and have necessary emotional backstories to make them interesting. The story uses enough detail to fully visualize the environment. If you don't really care about the erotica section or don't mind just ignoring it as it comes up the story is still worth listen to. I'd give the story a solid 4 without the erotica.

    "Very interesting story line"

My only quibble would be that sometimes the narrator is narrating a conversation between characters with a almost sarcastic tone which builds suspense when not needed, makes for edge of your seat listening during ordinary scenes
That said I love his voice very small town sheriff vibe which suits perfectly
