Publisher's Summary

Despite dating one vampire and living with another, Rachel Morgan has always managed to stay just ahead of trouble...until now.

A fiendish serial killer stalks the Hollows, and no one living in or around Cincinnati - human, inhuman, or undead - is safe.

An ancient artifact may be the key to stopping the murderer - a mysterious relic that is now in the hands of Rachel Morgan, fearless independent bounty hunter and reckless witch. But revealing it could ignite a battle to the death among the vast and varied local supernatural races.

Rachel's been lucky so far. But even she can't hide from catastrophe forever.

    "Rachel does it again..."
What made the experience of listening to For a Few Demons More the most enjoyable?

This is a good, story, but not great like book 4.....the first half of the book drags a bit, but as a true Rachel fan, I knew it would get better...and BAM...the 2nd half of this book was incredibly awesome....

What was one of the most memorable moments of For a Few Demons More?

When Rachel tries to make a deal with the artifact...and it turns into a violent blood bath...I felt so bad for her....always trying to do something good, and it backfires....

Which character – as performed by Marguerite Gavin – was your favorite?

I love Rachel of course, but then Jenks....and Al....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they find Kisten....I was so sad....I loved him and he didn't deserve that....

    Any additional comments?

I love this series, but since book 6 is not narrated by Marguerite Gavin, I will be reading it the old fashioned way on My Kindle....lol then I will go back to audio for book 7!

    "Disapointed"

For the 5th book in the series, Rachel is another heroin that the character doesn't seem to grow as books progress, she seems suck in this whiney teenage girl that is a hippocrate. As far as being a hunter, she really hasn't done ANY hunting in the past 5 books. She has gotten her ass handed to her many times and saved by others many many times.

    "Narrator"

Marguerite Gavin is the perfect narrator for this book. Rachel and Jenks are spot on. The next book in this series is narrated by someone else and it's a huge disappointment. Piscary's isn't pronounced correctly and the narrator sounds like a child. Bring back Marguerite for all future books, please!

    "Decent Addition to the Series"

I was originally reading the paperback copy of this book, got about half-way through it, got bored and put it aside for about a year. However, I did like the series and wanted to finish it so when I discovered Audible, I figured I'd purchase this book and re-fresh myself with what I previously read and finally finish the book. It was an excellent decision!!

Marguerite Gavin is a phenomenal narrator who brings each character to life with a distinctive voice and personality. My favorite is Al's voice although Jinx is also really well done.

This isn't the best book of the series, but I see it as a bridge between early Rachel and the final destination of her journey. We also start to see Trent as more then a two-bit villain. Overall, the plot is so-so but we start to see some important character development. I also really loved the ending of how the plot arc is solved. This last 1/3 of the book made the first dragging 2/3 worth it.

    "Mixed feelings"

I honestly don't know why I finished reading this book. Rachel Morgan makes me angrier than any other fictional character ever has. EVER. There are a lot of reasons TOO read this book, Jenks of course, Trent, all of the other characters that make The Hollows enjoyable. However, the main character is stupid, irrational, ridiculous, ignorant and a bunch of other words that infuriate me. I'm sure you can actually see steam coming from my ears.

    "Slow Start, HUGE Ending"
What made the experience of listening to For a Few Demons More the most enjoyable?

I had to admit, this story had a painfully slow start. I found myself asking - what's the plot and how is everything connected. There were times where it was almost a stuggle to keep going since I was still trying to find out what was suppose to happen. And then BAM - out of no where, the story hit a high point, making it now hard to turn it off! Marguerite Gavin, lovely as always, did a super job narrating this book. There was one point where in the story where I am glad to be a Audible person or I wouldn't have understood! I don't think I'm going to grab the next Audible for this book since the narrator has changed. I am a fan of the book just as much as Marguerite Gavin.

    "Amazing Once Again"
Would you listen to For a Few Demons More again? Why?

I would listen again after I complete the series.

What other book might you compare For a Few Demons More to and why?

    It is a stand alone.

What about Marguerite Gavin’s performance did you like?

I have fallen in love with the way she has captured Rachel's voice and Jenks - it is amazing how many characters Kim has written into the story line but somehow Marguerite manages to give each one an individual voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Kim's books always have off handed laughter written into them.

    Any additional comments?

A prayer to the universe that may this series never end and may Marguerite Gavin never loose her voice!

    "Rachel...too stupid to live"

The story is amazingly complex which keeps me coming back. Rachel is just a hot headed twit. Thank goodness she has people who care enough about her to save her from herself. Sad about Kisten though. Hope Rachel will mature and smarten up before anyone else gets killed

    "Urban Fantasy at it's Best!"

I loved this book but hated parts of it. Once again the book is nonstop action that leaves your head spinning and your heart reeling. There is a particularly steamy scene, which is the first in the series that I remember, that made quite an impression with me. The world building continues and The Hollows becomes more complicated and intriguing.

I would warn folks that it you are a big Rachel fan you may want to make sure that you finish the book in private because there are some heart wrenching events that are better read uninterrupted. A great book.

"Getting tired of parts of the storyline"

I have loved this series, and the way Marguerite Gavin narrates them. Jenks, especially, has been a hilarious part of the stories. But I am getting tired of Ivy's antics. Quite frankly, I have never been a fan of situations where one person tries to high pressure, or even force, someone to have sex with them. I can't find anything likable about this character who thinks she has the right to force someone else to live by what she want, dictating what Rachel's allowed to do. Nevermind what Rachel wants. And I really can't understand how Rachel is willing to put up with all the unreasonable demands Ivy puts on her. For this reason, I'm a little leary about continuing with this series. I think, at the very least, I will be taking a break from this series for a while.
