Publisher's summary

After his mother, the beloved Rebel Queen, is betrayed and murdered by her own faithless lords, young Maric becomes the leader of a rebel army attempting to free his nation from the control of a foreign tyrant. His countrymen live in fear; his commanders consider him untested; and his only allies are Loghain, a brash young outlaw who saved his life, and Rowan, the beautiful warrior maiden promised to him since birth.

Surrounded by spies and traitors, Maric must find a way to not only survive but achieve his ultimate destiny: Ferelden’s freedom and the return of his line to the stolen throne.

Lover of all things Dragon Age

I really enjoyed this reading of The Stolen Throne! I'm a huge fan of the Dragon Age video game series and the books, in particular, those written by David Gaider. This was my introduction to Stephen Hoye, who is now on my list of narrators I need to research. I recommend this to all!

Excellent Book on Dragon Age

This is a great background book for the Dragon Age game. Besides that, it was just a great novel in and of itself. You won't be disappointed even if you have never played the games. I recommend this book.

Much better than I thought

Wow, this was much better than I was expecting. Fans of the game would probably get the most of of it, but really, I don’t think you’d even need to be familiar with the games to enjoy this book.

Its honestly probably me.

I struggled with this book for years because I was hard to get over the difference in pronunciation of words between the games and the book. I finally made it through and it was a fairly good book.

Logaine is a hero!

This made me want to replay origins, which I can’t, because I don’t own a PS3 anymore. However, this is an incredible book. A perfect intro into the literary world of Thedas.
