Publisher's summary

It's 35 years before Julianne Taylor was buried alive by the good people of Donbridge and awakened by the Ring of Lazarus. The parents of Julianne are children facing a creature who haunts and terrorizes the town's residents. Fires, missing children, and destruction of the church have all caused great calamity. However, a lost medicine woman has been discovered in a wooded glen, and though rumors of her existence were always legend, her presence is a mystery. A young Sarah Woodlock holds the key to learning the medicine woman's knowledge. While Sarah has experienced much adversity and heartbreak, she wields a power greater than her own and leads her town to safety before the creature can cause more harm.

Fun little series to listen to :)

I love that this book was structured in the same way as the last, with the grandmother telling the story to her grandsons. The actual story was like a prequel to the first book, but I think I liked this one better. There's a good amount of action in this book, which makes for an exciting "bite- sized" audiobook. I hope to get some more information about the grandmother telling the story and her life. Are there creatures, and strange things going on around her also? I enjoyed this audiobook, and I hope the next one is as fun as the first two.

Enjoyable story

The author has created an exciting story with interesting characters. I found one of the herbal cures to be something I might try if I get stung by a wasp.
