A great book series

Would you consider the audio edition of Dominion to be better than the print version?

Yes. Certain parts are a little more coherent when read out loud.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dracula, naturally. Because he's the glue that holds this series together.

Which character – as performed by Robin Bloodworth – was your favorite?

Dracula.and Joe. I love the dynamic between the two characters and how it is portrayed in the book series.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were some funny parts.

Not my fav in the series, wonderful performace

I read this book out of order, but I don't think that matters much for this story. I love Robin Bloodworth's portrayal, but the story itself is much darker and lacks cohesion. There really isn't much Dracula in this story as he takes a secondary seat to other characters and crops up infrequently, and at the end.

As the plot unfolds, we find several different events converging together to create the main plot, but many times they lack important connecting elements to help the reader understand what's going on.

I'm still trying to decide if Saberhagen did this on purpose because he wanted the readers to fill in the blanks with their own ideas, or if the good stuff ended up being edited out or he was just out of inspiration. I guess we will never know!

A little disappointing

The narrator was great. Unfortunately this book is not one of the best in the series. It starts off as a great blend of Dracula and Arthurian legends. A very engaging read until the rather disappointing ending. The ending was rushed. It came so abruptly that is was disconcerting after all the buildup.

Still a good listen.

Time travel stories make my head ache!

I love this series and I love the Arthurian legend. There’s no reason why Dracula shouldn’t be involved but, with my aversion to time travel stories, I became impatient with all the point-of-view changes and all the leaping around in history. Good ending though.

Usual, Intense! What?!?!?

I thought I was in for the usual far from Mr. Baldacci, which I love. I was wrong - I was never able to predict the storyline, and then slam at the end, what???? That’s it. Hopefully the culmination is in the next of the series.
