Fun little piece of sci fi with room to grow
I felt like the story was compressed and there was much more of it there to expand in the future. My dumb joking aside, I enjoyed the premise and found the relationship between the main character and her brother really sweet and realistic. The mom about hot in my last nerve and the patience she was able to show to her mom’s disbelief as the less plausible thing in the story.

More imaginative SiFi from Dahners
Uplifting and positive story that has interesting SiFi twists and characters coping with the challenges of not being a perfect hero (in other words, human with faults like the rest of us). Like his other works, it's refreshingly without libidinous content and I was able to play it in my car with my tweens and teens without cringing. Looking forward to part 2 and more excellent Dahners books!
BTW I rarely give 5 stars since all books have flaws.

Fun Scifi with no magic bullets
Laurance E Dahners wrote this awhile back it was a very good engaging read as was lifter book # 2. Lifter sadly is not on audible.
Bottom line is I am awaiting another audible release to me this series is that good.
Mare Trevathan makes the story all the more enjoyable.
I listened to this over a year ago, at that time I did not do a review. Hade I done so perhaps book # 2 WOULD ALSO BE IN AUDIBLE.
Spend your money, for myself this was a five star story.

while they sorry and sci-fi are amazing and believable, there are absolutely disgusting aspects to this story that are not warned of anywhere that I could find so I'm leaving one.
WARRNING: If you do not enjoy listening to decent people be taken advantage of and brutally murdered in cold blood then stay away from this book.
