Publisher's summary

Book two the Prepper Reconstruction series.

The characters from the classic Prepper Trilogy have moved from their survival retreat on the lake and have taken up city living in one of the FEMA reconstruction towns. The government is attempting to jump start the economy once more after a solar storm took down the grid and the economy 10 long years ago. Politics and a religious cult leader who is a decedent of a Kudzu salesman threaten to upset the survivor's plans to restart their lives as the stresses of rejoining civilization mount. This audiobook contains several recipes and uses for Kudzu that help the community contend with the calamity. Perhaps no other part of the natural environment is more closely identified with the South than this invasive and fast growing vine and evidence of everything that is wrong with big government.

Yes and he is superb!

Any additional comments?

I learned so much about Kudzu from this and of course much more...about survival. Another great story from Ron and a wonderful listen!

Southern prepper story of kudzu and preparedness

Would you consider the audio edition of Diary Of A Kudzu Salesman to be better than the print version?

I like them both equally. When I read a book I get my version of the story. When I listen I get a new interesting interpretation that inspires me even though I know what is going to happen next. Ron Fosters prepper fiction books translate well to audio.

What did you like best about this story?

The mental picture the author and narrator create of a mostly abandoned city and the zany characters making a living in it. Quite imaginative.

Have you listened to any of Phil Williams’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Phil Williams keeps getting better and better as he takes on new roles and accents. I think he really has a feel for Ron`s characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes indeed, it draws you in and keeps your attention.

Kudzu: who knew?

I was attracted to this one because of Kudzu in title and being familiar with Ron Foster's writings, I knew this one would be chock full of prepper know how. However, it was the depth of history of kudzu in the southern states and the many uses of this vigorous flowering vine that added a richness of flavor to this narrated book.

A realistic and informative story!

What made the experience of listening to Diary Of A Kudzu Salesman the most enjoyable?

The creative characters and realistic style makes this story absorbing from the start! The part about the zombie bear was hilarious and the recipes at the end were very good!

Who was your favorite character and why?

David was the most interesting as he was level-headed and has such ingenious ideas to make things better for everyone trying to rebuild from the disaster! He reminds me of MacGyver from tv with his creativity.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! And I did!

Any additional comments?

There is a lot of talk about alcohol but putting yourself in that situation you realize how important it is not only for relaxation relief but also as an antiseptic and fuel and barter supply!
