Publisher's summary

Book 2 of the Demon Accords.

It's been seven months since Chris Gordon met Tanya Demidova, and a lot has changed. He's stronger and faster and has the senses of a vampire and the appetite of a werewolf. But even as he settles into his new position with the Special Situations Squad and his relationship with Tanya, new threats appear. From south of the border, north of the city, inside the NYPD, and the federal government. But the hardest fight Chris will face is with himself. Sometimes the demon inside is the most dangerous!

Great series. Just finished all available books...

I just finished reading this whole series, well all the books available. I have to say I truly enjoyed it it wasn't overly exciting but exciting enough with new characters to keep you interested. Now for me, it is hard to keep me interested in a series because I have read so many books. I don't know if I'd read a book or if it's just a repeat of something I've already read. And this was one of those books that I haven't come across yet. Yes there are vampire and werewolves and demons and witches all that stuff but it's the main character that kind of changes things.

One thing that almost made me stop reading this book was when I was closer to the end in the series and they change the character. They introduced a new character and made the next book about him and I didn't think I was going to like the book because of that at. Have to say they definitely made it interesting and it caught my attention in the next book after that was even better once you get to book 8 in book 9 you'll just want more. I hope they put book 10 and audio form so I don't have to read it again and I can just listen to it but it's great series I hope you enjoy. Definitely worth it.

exciting and well written

I discovered this series by accident, which has proved to be fortunate for me. I enjoyed this written book and found the narrator's delivery really added to the overall enjoyment. the story is about paranormal characters, some police and military aspects, vamlires, weres, and god-like creatures. I will be purchasing next books in the series because I know I will enjoy reading them again.

Great second book in the series

This is the second book in the urban fantasy Demon Accord series. Jane’s Patrick Cronin was great continuing his narration in this book. Christian/Chris is a self-proclaimed demon fighter. Due to the unique abilities he was born with, he all can see demons, remove them from their host or location, and banish them back to hell. He also has been infected with the virus that causes vampires and weres to exist but he’s neither a vampire or a were. While this first book in the series largely focused on vampires, this one focuses more on the were population. The book has the same main characters from the first book with some new characters added into the mix. The book includes what you’d expect from this genre - fighting, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, and laughs. I love that Chris’ character, despite his unique overwhelming powers, is still sweet, a bit naive, and modest which makes him a likeable hero. I will definitely keep reading the series.

demon driven

loved the book, hopefully the narrator gets better as the series continues, he's pretty limited on voices of the different characters which makes it hard in some spots to follow along.

inflections ruined the performance.

the reader ended every neutral statement by the main character with an inflection making it sound like a question or whiney. the main character is a bad ass but this reader makes him speaks like an unsure whiner. kind of kills the mood of the book.

Series get better

I like this series and the world he's created. The narrator improves and continues to do so as the series continues. Good humor, nice characters that I care about. This series is becoming a favorite.
