Team Eric

I have gone over to the dark side. I am now for Team Eric. Spoiler Alert: I am going with the belief that amnesia Eric is his original human nature. Sensual Viking Chivalry works for me. I must admit I love the bad Eric too. He is such a beautiful bad boy. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen to Jason on the full moon.

Better each time

I love this book. And I loved it even more on audio. Johanna does such an amazing job as Sookie. Weird that they left out the very last line of the book...or did my audio copy just mess up? And there was a part where a line was repeated. Strange.

Ms. Harris' books are the best!

The best of the series (through #10)

This is the best of the series so far. The narrator stays true to the characters and by inflection, differentiates between them. Yes, she has a contrived Southern accent but it's good. This is also all about Eric, and if you're a true fan, you are also all about Eric. Character developement is pretty good in this one and the rest of the series pivots on this book. Don't miss it.

Loved it!

I love all of Charlaine Harris' books (not just the Sookie Stackhouse series)!! Can't wait to continue on in the series. Which is better than True Blood. However, I am a big fan of both!

Best of the series! :-)

In my opinion, this is the best installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series. There was non stop action from the very beginning. The protagonists in this one made it extremely interesting. If you are an Eric fan, you will enjoy it all the more! I absolutely love the narrator, Johanna Parker. She is phenomenal as Sookie and does the other voices quite well too. I would definitely recommend this book, along with the rest of the series. You won't be disappointed.

Best of the Series (of 12 read to date)

I listened to all 12 in this series (as of 5/2012) and have to say that this one is still my favorite that I keep coming back to.

I originally read this one as it was the only one not available on Audible and when they finally got it, I grabbed it and have listened to it more than once.

It's the one you won't want to put down. This one focuses more on Eric, so if you are an Eric fan, you'll love it - and if you aren't - you're likely to become one as I did. At the very least, it's a fun read as avery different Eric is portrayed and Sookie is just as likeble as ever.

This one has a great storyline, with the right amount of mystery and suspense and there's lots of steam (though not overly so). By far, it's my favorite of this series. I would highly recommend this one.

As a few have mentioned, the books are very different from the HBO series and I have to agree - which makes it all the more fun. It's easier not to try to compare the two because they are so different - the series being Sookie's world from a different point of view. As always, Johanna Parker does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and think she was a perfect choice to narrate the series.

Love this book

Any additional comments?

This is probably my favorite Sookie Stackhouse novel. I've always been an Eric fan, so of course I'd like this book. It is a little bit sad at the ending tho. Also, I've noticed that they did not do as good of a job of editing this audiobook. For some reason, a couple times in the reading, the narrator repeats a sentence. It's really weird, and I'm surprised they didnt catch it before releasing it. Hard to miss if you're actually listening to it. But, on the plus side, Johanna Parker is the best narrator I have heard so far. She really makes these audiobooks work. I am not sure I'll even be able to read the paper books now, just because she does such a wonderful job of bringing Sookie to life.
