The journey and secrets come to an end. Love this third and final entry, but hoping there will be more in this world. Would love to get into the war aspect and know how the characters are. Recommended

Well done

I enjoyed this installment very much. Watson shows the trials and tribulations of Nathan's journey while bringing strangers together becoming a family.
The softer side of the book in no way cuts into the action. The action is exciting and original.

Enjoy!

Fantastic!

I loved this series. The personalities of each person/"family" member are very realistic and entertaining. I encourage you to read/listen to this series and appreciate their struggles and journey, as these characters are brought to life. Mr. Abernathy does a great narration, for those who enjoy listening while they work.

Best One of the Three

Not only does the author impart good technical information about gear that could be a game changer in a societal collapse, he also tells a very realistic story of survival and the importance of community. The reader will come away with a deeper understanding of why being prepared is so critically important, and how our government is likely to respond to independent citizens during a crisis.

Most characters have zero redeeming qualities.

I put up with alot in the first book, ER nurse / supercop / native trained hero ninja meets elite ninja with full auto retardation. Nathans love interest is absolutely useless her only talents are being hot and stupid enough to strip down to underwear nightly, at one point she points a loaded pistol at a police trained K-9 to emphasize a joke. Amanda is utterly intolerable, she's clingy, needed, unaware of the world, with a stupid potty mouth.

I was a staunch supporter of this book for the possibilities it had with a character that not only had his head on straight, but had the means and motivation to get the job done. It went down hill from book one.
