Ehhhhh.

Barely okay. The story and characters were okay. Hoped for more. Narration was fine. First book was better.

Best Narrator YET !

The DragonLance stories are fantastic because the original characters are fantastic. The perfect combination of disparate personalities that creates a magical group of friends.
And since Raistlin is my all time favorite DragonLance character ANY book about him is good reading, and I love how this story picks up after his test and shows that he is human, positive, honorable, and caring. More honorable than sweet lovable Caramon! I understand Raistlin, I can't say the same for most characters.

Great for the Dragonlance junkie.

Good story addition to ther Dragonlance series. Read the original stories first this will answer many questions about the brothers prior to the Chronicles.

Raist and Caramon still enjoyable after all these years!

I read the very first Dragonlance Trilogy when I was in junior high in the 80s and was drawn into the fabulous universe of Ms Weis and Ms Hickman forever after the first chapter! Of course my favorite character was Raistlin. I remember being excited when the Brothers Majere's first very own Trilogy came out (Time of Twins etc) and I thought it was as good as the original. I was so excited to see The Soulforge come out and recently became aware of this book's existence. Brothers in Arms is a fine entry in the saga of Raistlin and Caramon (and includes the fabulously independent and sexy big sister Kitiara too!). I wasn't quite as drawn in as in previous books, perhaps because it was the combo of Hickman and Weis that was so special but this book is still a very good story and stays true to the various books before... which is important given the various time traveling and possession that Raistlin undergoes in books set in the future (this is a prequel). I did read it as an audio book so my only downside was not liking Kitiara's voice. I had simply envisioned her as a smoky-voiced and sultry woman who always get what she wants and this is not how this (male) narrator read her part. I also thought he went a little overboard on Caramon being a dolt. But regardless those are subjective concerns... it was an overall enjoyable tale and I highly recommend it as a book in general- and a must-read for Dragonlance fans (come on, you know you'd love to read a Dragonlance story again!). Yes I'm talking to your thirty/ forty/ fifty year old a**! Enjoy!

The difference between the two brothers.

Enjoyed the narration of this book. Great characters and story telling. Enough twists and turns to keep my attention through the whole book.

BORING

Boring boring boring this is a banal boring excuse for an adventure novel. Blah blah blah.

Good set up for Chronicles

This second part of the duo started with Soulforge is a good journey towards the story presented in Chronicles.
This book is not as well paced as Soulforge but still tells a good story. Veterans of the Lance will find many Easter eggs that keeps this book interesting.
The narrator is decent although the voices of characters are not as good as some narrators. However, much better than other narrators of many of the Dragonlance novels.
