Publisher's summary

Hell is the ultimate prison, but no prison is perfect and even Hell has its holes. Only the most powerful, the most cunning, and the most evil of souls can escape eternal damnation. One being is in charge of dragging escaped souls back to Hell. The Beast. And the Beast has just died.

Christopher Sawyer is just an average college kid concerned with doing well in school and someday marrying his high school sweetheart. He never asked to inherit the office of the Beast or take up the mantle of the Hunter of Lost Souls. He never asked for his safe, comfortable world to be shattered or his family taken from him.

And to make matters worse, it was all a mistake.

Now Christopher must master the power of Hell inside of him if he hopes to survive this new reality. And if he can get a little revenge in the process, all the better.

an amazing story

honestly speaking the story to a while to make sence, even with that the great writing ability and the narrator's rendition aloud the story to flow in a way that few do, i eagerly await the next book. thank you for your time and dedication to your craft

Strong Start

Good beginning to what I hope is a successful series. The author did a nice job of character development in a short time.

It saddens me on how cliché this story is.

With every element of the story and every twist of the plot it becomes so obvious what the outcome of each point will be. Do not expect any gripping story or any surprises in this book. The motivation and emotional scenes have been done so many times that it just becomes so boring. How many times have we all heard the story of “oh my God I got this incredible power I don’t want it please take it away it’s horrifying and yet I am compelled to use it” to summarize I have seen this plot and this elements so many times you could drowned in them. I picked up this book hoping to read something new and refreshing and all I got was somebody’s lack of imagination.

PS it’s also good to know that God doesn’t exist in this universe but Satan does or at least that’s how it seems.
