About this listen

Jessica Keller has a reputation as a maverick commander. It almost got her court martialed. Now, it has gotten her a new command in an obscure sector, with orders to ignite a new front in the eternal war.

But her old nemesis, Imperial Admiral Emmerich Wachturm, stands in her way.

Worlds will fall before their feud ends, but only if she can forge her crew of strangers into a weapon. Otherwise, disaster looms.

Tyler’s voice was perfect to tell the story of the intrepid Commander Keller and her engineering gnomes. Thoroughly enjoyed this story and I look forward to more.

Riveting tale well told

I enjoyed the strong, kick-butt, and intelligent mind of Jessica. Having said that, the development of the story was less than smooth, with the narration sounding hesitant to my mind.

Enjoyable

I enjoy Blaze Ward & have read this ebook several times. The narrator does not do the story justice. For the most part she is simply a reader, with little inflection. She does do pretty well with different voices for the various characters. I have listened to many audiobooks where the narrator brings the book to life, but not this one. It is still a good book, and one I still recommend, but a different narrator could have made it much better.

Great story, boring narrator.
