This series is getting better and better!

I'm so glad I got this series after I read the Lost Fleet series. This second book in the series also has great battles, an excellent story line and characters you can really root for or hate. Hearing familiar names that we also find in The Lost Fleet is icing on the cake. Can't wait to see what I find in the third book in this series.

A Satisfying Successor to Vanguard

Compared to the sluggish start of Vanguard, Ascendant quickly starts but suffers from pacing problems.

Not the best audio editing.

Narrator does his normal fine job with the voices, but in this book the point of view / solar system you are in can change from one sentence to the next with no pause. This makes in confusing until you realize you are suddenly listening to a different character.

Amazing second book

Amazing second book, really enjoyed the space combat! Can't wait to read the next book.
