It's a bird! It's a plane! It's six exciting episodes of The Adventures of Superman!

In this thrill-packed serial, which aired from March 18 to 29, 1940, arch-villains the Wolf and Keno escape from prison; the Yellow Mask resurfaces; Lois Lane is in peril; and an entire town must be saved. Will Superman get there in time?

Critic reviews

"The long-running adventure serial...was one of the hallmarks of the Golden Age of radio....Superman was never able to fly as high on television as he had for an adventure-filled decade in radio's theater of the imagination." (Anthony Tollin, "Superman on Radio")

The Hero Continues

What did you love best about Adventures of Superman, Vol. 3?

Superman is not free from the yellow mask. and as much as he wants to keep his identity hidden there is many circumstances that make it harder for him to do so. though no one as of yet knows what he is rumors keep growing as he continues to do all he can to help save people from trouble

Any additional comments?

this program is very inexpensive for a quick adventure with a famous and still loved hero Superman will always save the day but its up to you to see how he saves it

Great for the day

The narration or performance was great as it always in in this version of the man steals involvement. It's a good source of entertainment but it's a little dated now for the 21st-century 3

Old Time Radio at it's Finest

What did you love best about Adventures of Superman, Vol. 3?

These are the original radio plays. This lets the audience feel included in a piece of history.
Again, story is fairly basic but it still holds up!
